With testing cheats enabled you can also use a cheat code to reset your sims. Simply type "r🐠esetsim FirstName LastName" using the name of your sim. Make sure you spell it correctly and use capital letters where needed.
You can use this to reset any sim in your ho♊usehold, not just the one you are controlling. They will just jump to a random area on your lot.
5 🌃 Use The Cheat Menu ⛦
Once testing cheats are enabled PC and Mac users 🔯can hold the shift button and then click on the sim that needs resetting. This will give you a menu from which you can select Reset Object (Debug). Your sim will now jump a little and unfreeze, resetting their wishes and moodlets but keeping their needs the same.
Not all cheats work on the console ver𝄹sion but you can test any shift-click cheats by hitting A and B simultaneously on Xbox One or X and O simultaneously on PlayStation 4 to access the equivalent menu.
4 ൩ Teleport Your Sim 🧸
With cheats activated the sh𒁃ift-click menu will also allow you to teleport your sim. To do this make sure the sim you want to reset is currently being controlled. Next, find the space you want to teleport them to. Finally shift-🔯click (or equivalent) the ground in that location and select "teleport here" from the menu.
Your sim should now teleport to that space as if they had the ability♓ from the 🍸wellness trait. It should stop them from being trapped without adjusting anything else.
3 Go Into Create A Sim 💝 ꦿ
You can also go into create a sim using൩ the shift-click menu. While this won't always work, it does put your sim into a new state and place so can help with weird glitches.

Before you employ anything this extreme we advise ℱsaving everything in case things go wrong. Also, remember that moving an entire household to a new location will either sell all your furniture or place it all in your household inventory. You cannot move to a new home then move back to the nicely furnished one you just vacated unless you can replace it from the gallery or your library.
