How To Get Started As A Secret Agent
As with every ca⛦reer, the first step i💖n the journey to becoming a world-class secret agent is landing an entry-level job.
To do this, you will only need to access the career menu from any of the availa🔜ble options. You can use a computer, a laptop, or❀ the handy Sim cellphone, which you can find in the bottom left
corner of y♓our screen below your Sim’s portrait. The Secret Agent career will be available to choose fr♌om in the career list.
You can use the hotkey J to access the career panel and select the join career button. Console players can access the career panel through the toggle menu option, which you can find by pressing the view button on Xbox, or the touchpad button on PlayStation.
You will start out as an agenc🤪y clerk, which is the first level of the Secret Agent career. Your Sim will be working 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM 🦩shifts from Monday through Friday and bringing home 17 Simoleons an hour. Not bad at all.
What You Will Need To Get Started
While lower levels will not take too much hard work from your Sim, there will be a few essential things that will allow you to quickly get promoted. This career requires a computer, as you will be performing daily tasks online quite often.
You will also need a few other items to ensure you’re meeting skill point requirements. Whether on a budget or playing with cheats, you should make sure you prioritize equipping your Sim’s house with a mirror, a bookcase, and either a chess board, a microscope, a telescope, or an observatory.
If you cꦗan’t afford to buy all these goodies, there are public lots that you can go to as needed.
How To Earn Promotions And Advance Your Career Path
Every career has specific tasks you will need to perform to meet performance requirements. This will make your Sim eligible for promotions. These daily tasks are usually shorter to perform than activities for earning skill points. To give your Sim a cꦐhance to shine at work, you will have to juggle both.
Daily tasks for the secret agent career will range from browsing the intelligence database to interacting with other Sims. Not performing these daily tasks will have negative consequences on your Sim’s performance bar, so you have to make sure 💖to stay on top of them.
Careers also have specific promotion tasks you will need to perform so your Sim is eligible for a promotion. These will usually require leveling up specific skills for your Sim. The Secret Agent career is based on the Logic and Charisma skills.

Every Daily Task And How To Perform It
The lower and middle levels of the career are based on two main types of daily tasks. The upper levels h🔜ave similar ones, but they vary depending on the career branch you choose. The first type requires an action, while the second type requires socializing.
Browse Intelligence
To perform this task, you will need to interact with a computer, go to More Choices on the pie menu, select Web, and then click on Browse the Intelligence Database. The option should have an icon for the secret agent career path next to the text.
Other Intelligence actions that are unlocked further into the career will also count towards completing this daily task, and you can perform them following the same action sequence.
- Time to complete: Roughly two hours of in game time.
Friendly Interactions
This task requires interacting with other Sims. There will be no specific set of interactions you need to complete. Chatting with another Sim, tellin✨g jokes, playing, hugging and other regular social interactions will help you complete this daily task.
Please note these interactions will need to be in person. Chatting over the phone or on the computer will not cou𒐪nt towards completing the daily task.
- Time to complete: Two+ hours of in game time, depending on the interactions chosen.
- Number of interactions needed: Five interactions. You may repeat any interaction, but the Sim must complete each one for the progress percentage to go up.
Romance Interactions
This daily task also requires interactions with other Sims. These can be any kind of romantic interaction, such asℱ flirting, kissing, and any other romance interaction in the game (massage, anyone?).
The easiest way to get these done quickly is to have a spouse or significant other living in the same lot. However, it is still possible ꧙to invite a Sim over and flirt a few times to 🅰meet the interaction goal.
- Time to complete: Two+ hours of in game time, depending on how quickly the interaction is completed.
- Number of interactions needed: Five interactions. You may repeat any interaction, but the Sim must complete each one for the progress percentage to go up.
Mischief Interactions
꧋This is another type of daily task based on social interaction. Sims with the Evil trait will find these come naturally to them, and might even perform these kinds of interactions autonomously.
The result of the interaction might harm a relationship, though if the target is in a good mood, they might be more re💧ceptive to mischievou๊s jokes.
- Time to complete: Two+ hours of in-game time, depending on the length of each interaction.
- Number of interactions needed: Five interactions. You may repeat any interaction, but the Sim must complete each one for the progress percentage to go up.
Special Career Rewards
Getting promoted is a special time for every Sim. Besides the positive moodlet ✱your Sim will get for a job well done, they will also enjಞoy some benefits.
The Secret Agent career awards special furniture as you rise through the ranks, along with a hefty Simoleon bonus for every level. You will also unlock special actions and interactions through advancing in a career. As usual, each reward will be tied to a specific promotion goal.
