June is pride month and The Sims team have always been huge advocates for diversity and inclusion. This month t💖hey are bringing the pride celebrations into our homes with a Virtual Pride Parade, hosted by LGBTQ+ YouTuber and Twitch Streamer, .
In a , The Sims team discusses ho💙w much pride means to them while also acknowledging the current world situation. The powerful opening para💃graph reads:
"Now more than ever, it’s important to remember that while Pride is a time for celebration, it’s also a moment for reflection and solid💛arity. All of us are facing difficult, emotional challenges in real life right now. Celebrating Pride might feel complicated as people face the systemic oppression of the Black community head-on and brave the isolation of COVID-19. But none of us are alone."
This sentiment is perfectly worded and is being echoed in so many communities right now. The world is undergoing huge changes, but celebrating all diversity is so important, now more than ever. For many, The Sims games have b✨een a safe space to explore their sexuality and this is a cause worth celebrat𒅌ing during Pride Month.
