But in reality, you can work for years on your cooking skills and still manage to burn butter. I don’t think many people have suddenly had a eureka moment that result♎ed in the exact recipe for a flawless Lobster Thermidor (which somehow takes just as much time to prepare as boxed macaroni and cheese).

Charisma has always been a big deal in The Sims. When you're a charmer, you'll win people over without issue; friendships are easy, and romance is even easier. Thankfully, there are a lot of ways to improve your Sims' people skills, and, peculiarly, one of them is to spend hours alone, talking to yourself in the mirror.
I’ve been working mostly remotely since the start of the pandemic, and my bedroom mirror dance parties definitely did not make me suaver – if anything, the opposite. I've said so many foot-in-mouth things since I met the guy I’m dating that I still wonder, several months in, why he likes me sometimes, but I’d wager it's probably not how much time I've spent talking to myself.

Meanwhile, in the real world, a beauty regimen takes time. My hair is thick and curly, and it requires much more than a click to change that. My tattoo artist books about two months out, and then I have to travel to get it done. Makeup costs money and takes a while to apply. I’d love to walk out of the closet with a sleeve tattoo, a full face, and styled locks every morning, but I guess Sim Me has all the luck.

Childbirth is a miracle, and it’s even more so in🅰 The Sims. In the most recent games, you can know instantly if you’re pregnant, and each trimester lꦍasts one day until the baby appears after some discomfort. In the original Sims, you’d just kiss until one of you decides to have a baby, and it’d come into the world immediately thereafter (for the small, Peter Pan-like price of never aging past childhood).
But it can take years for some people to become pregnant, and once the baby is conceived, pregnancy is far more involved for everyone than just some occasional nausea for mom. And that’s before the actua💝l birthing process, which is undeniably more awful.

I love rags-to-riches challenges in The Sims, but it says something when you have to TRY to be poor. Eventually, if your Sim is unemployed, ꦬthe family will run out of money, but that’s nothing a couple of cheat codes can’t fix if you don’t feel like getting a job. Just make a bulk deposit of cash into your family’s funds without anyone asking questions about your mys🍰terious new lifestyle.
Even if you could randomly summo🦩n $50,000 in cash, it wouldn’t be as easy as just having the money, because the🅺 government’s going to be asking questions before long. Like it or not, I can’t just type a nonsense word into a computer and change my entire life with the click of a button.
But it’d sure be sweet if I could.
