When you think of , you probably conjure up images of peaceful farm life, chatting with the neighbours, and the odd dungeon crawl where you'll fight hapless slimes for some goodies. It's all innocuous, charming fun. So, it's a bit of a surprise that the game is running its very own eSports tournament, the Stardew Valley Cup.

Game creator Eric Barbone is collaborating with YouTuber UnsurpassableZ for "the first official" tournament that has "a prize pool of over $40k." It's being held on September 4 at 9am PST. It will be made up of four teams: Sandy's Candies, Pierree's Cherries, Pam's Yams, and Krobus's Crocuses.

UnsurpassableZ explained that the Stardew Valley Cup is made up of hundreds of different challenges that the competitors will have to complete in order to win points. Each challenge has its own difficulty to reward ratio so going for as many easy ones as possible might not stack up against a few tougher ones. For instance, getting your neighbour a present might not be worth as much as reaching 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:floor 100 in the Skull Cavern.

To prepare fo⛦r these challenges, the teams have been given two-weeks notice to look at the list 𒐪and prepare strategies, lending to the more competitive nature of the event. However, there are five challenges unbeknownst to the teams that will be revealed in the tournament.

Stardew Valley is currently available on PC, Nintendo Switch, mobile, and PlayStation. It's also 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:coming to Xbox Game Pass later this year.
