168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Suicide Squad released globally last weekend, and although the movie certa🎃inly led the box office in the US, it didn’t exactly put up impressive numbers. According to , the movie made roughly $26.5 million domestically and another $35 million globally, for a grand total box office take of $72.2 mil so far.

That’s below what analysts expected (which was around $30 million domestically), but it also wasn’t all that surprising. The Suicide Squad had several things working against it, not the least of which is the ongoing pandemic. The sudden surge of the Delta variant is keeping lots of people at home even in localities that don't have any restrictions on businesses or personal travel. On top of that, the movie was released on both HBO Max and in just over 4,000 theatres across the nation, and as the past year has shown, most folks will likely opt to watch a movie at home rather than in the middle of a crowded theatre during a pandemic.
