Famed Rocky and Rambo actor Sylvester Stallone h꧟as been confirmed by The Suicide Squad director James Gunn himself to be playing King Shark. The character usually doesn't say much beyond, "King Shark is a shark," but in the trailer, he was seen flexing that fish brain of his by pointing out his own hand.
Many speculated that Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi would be playing the role, and as it stands, he's the only one left without a confirmed character. However, Starro has been announced now as the main villain, so perhaps the famed New Zealand director is taking on the part of a Superman baddy extraordinaire.
In the comics, King Shark is debated as a god or a mutated man, with his father being "The King of All Sharks," or the Shark God. He fought against Superboy in Hawaii and got pushed into the Suicide Squad following that clash of titans, so he's a bonified member through and through, so much so that he's appearing as a playabl♒e character in Rocks🔯teady's video-game.
James Gunn also discussed his adoration for Harley Quinn, saying, "I have loved the character since she debuted as an animated character. It was my privilege bringing her to life in all her nutso glory." King Shark can even be found in Harley Quinn's⛦ HBO Max animated series♔ - he's getting a lot of love lately.
