Fear The Walking Dead

• Initially set during the outbreak of the apocalypse.
• Season 4 features a time jump that brings the events closer to those seen in The Walking Dead.

The first season of Fear the Walking Dead is set in Los Angeles, and it focuses on the initial outbreak as seen primar▨ily from the viewpoi♔nt of Madison and her family.

After the events of the first season, the central cast of new characters ventures out into Mexico and then Texas. For the first three seasons, the survivors try to find a new home, a safe haven from the apocalypse, but it does not work out for all of them, including Madison.

In Season 4 of Fear The Walking Dead, Morgan, a character from The Walking Dead, treks across America and joins the main cast of Fear The Walking Dead in Texas.

To accomplish this, a time jump takes place, and for the most part, the remainder of Fear The Walking Dead focuses on Morgan and his new allies attempting to survive.

New characters are introduced, mixing in with the few remaining original characters, and the goal of finding a new home and reconnecting with lost loved ones continues.

In the final two seasons of the show, Madison (presumed dead) returns, and Morgan steps down as the lead character. This returns the show to its initial focus, and brings the story to a✱n end.

Not before hinting at Morgan's future involvement with other Walking Dead shows and characters, though.

The Walking Dead: Shorts

A series of web shorts, set before and during the events of the main The Walking Dead show were produced between 2011-18.

• The first was titled 'Torn Apart' and is all about Hannah, a walker Rick encountered in the first season.
• A second short season called 'Cold Storage' is about Chase, a man seeking refuge in a storage facility, who must then contend with BJ, its owner.
• 'The Oath' is about Paul and Karina, a pair of survivors seeking a medical station, who then write graffiti on the hospital walls that Rick encounters in the first season.
• The final of these web series is 'Red Machete' and it's all about Rick's titular weapon, and the events depicted within tie into those of Season 4.

All of these shorts are episodic in nature, 🔜with each episode running꧂ between two–ten minutes.

Similarly, Fear The Walking Dead also had a series of web shorts. The first was a 16 episode series called 'Flight 462' all about the early days of the outbreak, from the perspective of those who were on a plane during those events.

Some of those c🍃haracters then crossed over into ❀the second season of the show.

'Passage', another 16 episode web series, is all about two s𝕴urvivors, one capable, the other injured, seeking sanctuaryꦡ.

'The Althea Tapes' is a six-episode web series focusing on Althea from Fear The Walking Dead as she interview👍s several survivors about their escapades and🦋 experiences.

The final web series is 'Dead in the Water' all about the crew of a submarine, cut off from the surf🍒ace world during the apocalypse, trying to survive as best they can.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond

• Set ten years into the apocalypse.
• Focuses on teenagers who grew up in the apocalypse.
• Hints and future stories and events.

Set ten years after the initial outbreak in Nebraska, World Beyond puts focus on teenagers who have grown up in the zombie apocalypse and live in a community🧜 that has, for the most part, avoided the worst ofཧ the apocalypse.

World Beyond does a lot to set up future shows and their stories, hinting at events overseas that would later be shown in the Daryl Dixon show. It also hin🅠ted at events and characters within Those Who Live, acting as a connection between t🍌he main The Walking Dead Show, and its future spinoffs.

World Beyond only lasted for two seasons of ten episodes. It established the group known as CRM, its connected communities, and revealed that Rick Grimes was given to CRM after his disappearance in Season 9 of The Walking Dead.

Tales Of The Walking Dead

• Each episode focuses on a different character, location, and time.
• Samantha Morton returns as Alpha.

Tales of the Walking Dead is an anthology series, with each episode focusing on different🔴 characters, in different settings, across the Walking Dead timeline.

For the most part, the stories and characters are new and original, but there are episodes that put focus on familiar names and faces.

Samantha Morton reprized her role as Alpha from the main The Walking Dead show. Her episode acts as an origin stor✅y for her character, prior to her becoming the villainous leader of The Whisperers later in life. One episode also p🉐lays around with time, adding a science fiction twist to the series.

A followup series, cleverly entitled More Tales from The Walking Dead, continues the anthology-style storytelling of the first season, with new characters, new stories, new locations, and🌟 more zombie killing.

The big difference is that More Tales From The Walking Dead is a series of shorts, rather than full-length episodes.

The Walking Dead: Dead City

• Maggie and Negan team up to infiltrate New York.
• Set after the events of The Walking Dead.

Set years after the events of The Walking Dead, Dead City sees Maggie traveling to New York, the titular Dead City. She’s in search of her son, who has been kidnapped by a villainous group. To retrieve her son, she t𒊎eams up with a long-time enemy, Negan, to infiltrate the🎉 city and take down the gang.

Dead City has the leading duo butting heads over past decisions, rekindling their rivalry. Meanwhile, new law enforcers are hunting down Negan for his past actions, and gangs and factions within the city itself are vying for power and fre♈edom.

Dead City was the first spinoff filmed after the end of the main show. It also had a significantly shorter episode length than past shows, with only six episodes.

Plus, the new location of New York City added a fresh spin on things. Initally, it was set to be a miniseries, but after its success it was turned into an ongoing series.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon

• Daryl wakes up in France without his memory.
• He must escort a boy across the country, encountering new zombies and enemies.

After the events of The Walking Dead, Daryl ventured out on his own, returning to his nomad roots. He finds himself washed up in France, with no memory of how he got there𝄹. His adventure sees him uniting with a nun, discovering just how and why he is there, and that there may be hope for the future♓.

Daryl Dixon introduces the character of Laurent, who is believed to be the next Messiah, due to his birth occurring while his mother was bitten.

The show presents Daryl with a quest of identity and purpose, as he is tasked with transporting Laurent across France, to a group who can keep the boy safe. But, rival factions inte🎀rcept them, and new, scientifically modified zombies pose a greater threat.

The show was initially supposed to feature the double act of Daryl and Carol. But, due 🍒to scheduliꦬng issues, Melissa McBride was unable to film in France.

She did, however, appear as Carol as a voice in one episode, and in person in the first season finale.

The second season of Daryl Dixon is subtitled The Book of Carol, signifying her return to the series in a more promiꩲnent role.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live

• Set between Season 8 and 10 of The Walking Dead.
• Andrew Lincoln returns to the role of Rick Grimes.

After he sacrifices himself to save those he loves in Season 9 of the main show, Rick Grimes is washed ashore, injured, and beaten. He was then taken in a helicopter to an undisclosed location and was never seen or heard from again.

As seen in Season 10 of the main show, Michonne, the love he left behind, never gave up hope, however, and has now ventured across the country to be reunited with Rick.

Initially conceived as a movie, or a series of movies, The Ones Who Live was then reconfigured into a miniseries that would conclude the story of Rick and Michonne.

The story is set between the events of Season 10 and the finale of Season 11 of The Walking Dead.

A new villain, Beale, played by Terry O'Quinn, is introduced, and Pollyanna McIntosh returns as Jadis.

She, Andrew Lincoln, and Melissa McBride are the only actors to appear in three The Walking Dead TV shows, which is more than any other actor.
