Problems with the PC version of the upꩲdate started to circulate hours after it went live. “We are aware of the issues PC players have been reporting since last night's release of the update,” CDPR wrote on Twitter. “We are actively investigating all of the reports and will be providing an update on particular issu☂es as soon as possible.”
Most of the complaints about the current-gen version of The Witcher 3 accumulated o🍃n the series' subreddit on Wednesday. The leading complaint was with its ray tracing as a number of players reported that when enabled, the game runs incredibly slowly. Others reported that the game repeatedly crashed with ray tracing turned on, and some brought up issues with its DLSS.
Although CDPR has now confirmed it is actively looking into and trying to fix any issues raised with the PC version of the game, the same post on Reddit includes replies offering up temporary fixes. One player who experienced crashes with ray tracing enabled sugges📖ted loading a save from prior to the current-gen patch and then switching to a new save afterwards, claiming to have suffered no issues since doing that.
Other than problems on PC, players revisiting The Witcher 3, or perhaps playing it for the first time, seem to be largely pleased with the update. Not only does it improve the game's visuals, but it has also added a few new features to the game. Elements of the Netflix a♏🎃daptation are now in there too, including Jaskier and aཧ whole new quest based on the show.
