The Witcher 3 is not a hard game. It's no Deadspace or Cupheads nor in the same league as a game like Dark Souls, even if you max-out Witcher 3's difficulty to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:"Death March." Instead it's a hard game to adjust to, and more than that, it's unforgiving to players who are unwilling🔯 -- this is especially true of it's fantastic cast of bosses.

Early quests like "Jenny of The Woods" teach players the painful, frustrating lesson that The Witcher 3's bosses aren't all going to go down from the hack-a🍒nd-slash approach. Players have to figure these bosses out , and that gets harder as the game progresses. Here's the ten toughest Geralt has to take on, ranked.

10 Beast Of Beau💜clജair (Blood And Wine)

beast_beauclair_witcher1

Fair warning, this list is going to feature a lot of Witcher 3 DLC content. Of course, spoilers, but also the lack of base game representation is due to the DLC ramping up the difficulty more than a few notches. Starting off is the list is the creature players are paid to hunt down in Blood and Wine, the Beast of Beauclair.

The first encounter with the beast comes while players in pursuit of h♋im with Dutchess Anna Henrietta. Players find out he's a higher vampire (hiding under an alias) and by this point in the game it's clear that vamps are no laughing matter. The beast isn't too tough, but is an elusive, tricky creature to take 🃏down.

9 Ofieri Mage (𒁃Hearts Of Stone)

oferi_mage_witcher2

When starting off Witcher 3's first expansion pack, players are immediately walloped with a pair of bosses to remind everyone that this ain't the base game anymore. The first, the Toad P🅺rince, we'll get to later, but surprisingly enough his follow-up the Ofieri Mage is one the harder 𒅌bosses in the game.

What makes the Mage's difficulty so surprising is the scene is a bit nonchalant (by Geralt's standards of course). Players will think they're dealing with a few fodder soldiers and their slightly stronger mage leader -- but no -- this guy will take🍷 anyone out a few times if they aren't𝐆 careful.

8 Imlerith

imlerith_witcher3

Time to talk about the Wild Hunt boys. Imlerith is the Boba Fett of The Witcher 3. He doesn't talk mucᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚh, and to this point we've seen him at the front of eඣvery battle, ready to break skulls with his club and shatter bodies with his shield. And man oh man, do they hype Imlerith up.

Laying at his feet are several nude succubi's that he's not even paying any mind to. All he's doing is focusing on how he's going to b💃eat the living hell out o🍷f his opponent. In addition to brute strength, Imlerith can also teleport, making this a fight everyone wants to be prepared for.

7 Eredin

Many fans poiꦕnt to Imlerith being a tougher (even a more enjoyable) fight than Eredins. We didn't see it that way. Maybe it's the anxiety someone feels when going up against what may be the last boss of the game, or the emotional moment as Crach an Craite is slain. Or the fact that he throws the player into a portal in the middle of the fight!

All 𓆉these elements and more make Eredin's fight one for the gaming history books. His approach becomes predictable after awhile, but it's still a really rough fight.

6 💮 Wicked Witch (Blo🌃od And Wine)

wicked_witch_witcher3

The Wicked Witch from Blood And Wine is not only one of the hardest boss fights in the game, but also the most annoying. That's not to say that this fai♌ry-tale looking, psychopathic witch isn't awesome. She is. But her annoyance starts up as soon as the fighting gets going.

For starters, her broom is level 52, and the witch protects herself in a bubble, only making herself vulnerable when she swoops down to attack. And whe🎶n෴ she is hit, she's sure to get plenty of blows in herself.

5 Olgiౠerd Von Everec (Hearts Of Stone) 💮

von_everec_witcher3

Olgierd Von Everec is immortal, so fighting him was poor decision making on Geralt's part. But the decision is made and here he is, fighting an immortal man who's brutal, quick, and has the hit-points akin to a Metroid boss. Long boss fights take everything out of the player, especially in The Witcher 3, where one wrong move will mean doing everything all over again.

Tread lightly when it comes to figh🐭ting Olgierd, and know that all the hard effort won't really result in anything besides watching a man applaud the player while his head is cut off.

4 Iris's Greatest Fear (Hearts Of Stone) 𒉰

iris_greatest_fear_witcher3

Where Blood and Wine excels in it's grandiose world and fairy-book story telling, Hearts of Stone is relatively short and packs a lot of heat in✱ that amount of time. Not only does the player run into some of the strongest, most nightmarish bo✃sses in the game, but they're also face-to-face with the most morally ambiguous choices.

A prime example is the dream (really nightmare) sequence that caps off with the player fighting several demonic Olgierd Von Everec. What makes this fight tough is that all the demons could be ganging up at once, which make꧒s for a near impossible bout -- unless the gamer is going for the𝓀 achievement, try to go one at a time.

3 Toad Prince (Hearts Of Stone) ✤

toad_prince_witcher3

The Toad Prince has a reputation among the Witcher 3 fan-base for being the most frustrating and quite possඣibly the toughest boss the game, DLC included, has to offer. But that's not necessarily the case. On the first few tries however, the Toad Prince will seem impossible.

He'll constantly be moving, and when he stops he'll rifle his opponent with his s🔥limy tongue. Quite a pesky beast until players ❀exploit his weakness of flame damage. Just bombard the creature with "dancing star bombs" or use igni -- and keep some distance!

2 💮 The Ca♑retaker (Hearts Of Stone)

thecaretaker_witcher3

What makes these last two bosses different from the rest is, no matter what play through a player is on or how comfortab൲le they are with "Death March" difficulty, these two are going to be trouble.🍸 The Caretaker is full of sneaky abilities, like regenerating himself constantly or spawning waves of undead to chip away at HP.

That's not even mentioning his freakish design that looks straight out of Dark Souls game or a H.P. Lovecraft story. Hearts of Stone pulls no punches when it comes to surprises, and the Car♛etaker is testament to that.

1 𝓡 Dettlaff (Blood And Wine) 🃏

dettlaff_witcher_9

Regardless of what anyone thinks about Eredin and his boss fight, he does feel like the proper villain to conclude the base game. Detlaff, on the other hand, feels like the proper boss to conclude the entire Witcher 3 experience, DLC and all.

It starts off with teaming up with Regis to track down and take care of the Beast of Beauclair, who later is revealed to be Detlaff -- a higher vampire who's a whole lot of trouble. This battle has multiple stages, from taking on his elusive higher vamp form to a satanic vampire monster (something you'd also see in Dark Souls or Lovecraft sto🤡ries) to being inside the creature and poking out his organs🧔. Epic and as hard as they come.
