Investing in real estate is a tried-and-true strategy, especially in cities. While properties generally appreciate over time, circumstances may lead to the investments decreasing in value. One such possibility would be a monster invasion, which can be rectified with the help of a professional. In 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Witcher 3, that would be Geralt.
The Novigrad Witcher Contra🐼ct💮: Doors Slamming Shut, has you help a real estate investor with a supposedly haunted house. As always, things aren't as they seem and the only thing you're guaranteed is a difficult fight at the end. If you're struggling with the investigation or battle, this guide is for you.
How To Start Contract: Doors Slamming Shut
The notice for this contract is pinned to the Hierarch Square Notice Board in Novigrad. Picking up and reading it will start the quest, guiding you to the Kingfisher Inn where you can find Kurt Dysart on the second floor.
Dysart happens to own a haunted manor outside Novigrad's walls. Infrequent rumbling has scared off interested parties, forcing him to hire a witcher to get to the bottom of the matter. Negotiate your payment and agree to the job to begin your investigation.
Investigating The Haunted Mansion
Travel to Moldavie Residence, the manor in question. Dysart will have provided Geralt with a key to unlock the front door. Go inside and turn right, reaching a room with some food on a table. The tremors will begin, giving Geralt the first cꦬlues to the culprit's identity.
There are a few chests containing random loot in the house. They're a good way to supplement your income from this endeavor.
Make use of Geralt's Witcher Senses to investigate the table itself and a line of salt drawn at the stairs. Head down the stairs, using Geralt's Witcher Senses to highlight a half-cracked wall in the basement. Give it a light tap by casting Aard on the wall to blow it open and reveal an elven ruin in the caverns beneath the house.
How To Open the Door
Enter the ruins and cross a bridge across an underwater river to a sealed doorway with a book and magic root nearby. Inspect both of the items. The book, written by a long-dead mage, indicates that a magical servant has been sealed beyond the doorway. The root confirms that the servant is an earth elemental.
It won't be long before the elemental brings the cavern down with its tremors, forcing Geralt to free and kill it. The first challenge to overcome is the sealed doorway separating you from the monster.
To open the door, jump into the water and swim east, reaching a lever at the end of the tunnel. Interacting with it will open the door, letting you re💟ach the monster.
How To Deactivate The Magic Barrier
Head through the open door to enter a large chamber where the earth elemental is imprisoned. It's sealed by a barrier powered by a crystal on the chamber's north wall. Destroying it will lower the barrier, making it possib🎃le for Geralt to kill tꦍhe elemental.
The chamber has two damaged pillars supported by wooden scaffolding. Try to protect the supports; Dysart will die after the contract if they are destroyed.
All you need to do is cast Aard on the crystal. It'll explode and send Geralt rolling back, causing the barrier to fade away. Now that it's been freed, the elemen🍷tal will begin its rampage.
How To Defeat Therazane
You'll have to kill the earth elemental, Therazane, before it can bring the cavern down. It's a larger, tougher earth elemental, with the same rock-hard armor and slow, devastating attacks that its brethren are known for.
It's especially important to maintain Quen throughout the fight because of its many area-of-effect attacks that can be hard to avoid in the close confines of the cavern.
Alongside its slow swings and stomps, Therazane will manipulate its element to send walls of rock at Geralt, both as a long-reaching ridge or as a circular explosion. They are surprisingly fast and difficult to avoid, though you can prevent this by throwing a Dimeritium bomb.
The elemental attacks are likely to damage the wooden supports and should be suppressed early on if you want to ensure Dysart's survival. If you haven't got Dimeritium bombs, Northern Wind works in a pinch, though it won't last as long.
If the fight is going poorly, and you need some space to recover, you can escape through the way you came. The opening isn't l♋arge enough 💞for Therazane to fit through, giving you some breathing room.
Once you succeed in slaying the elemental, remember to loot its remains for the trophy before returning to Dysart at the Kingfisher Inn. He'll promptly provide payment, ending 🧜the quest.
