Where To Start Contract: The Merry Widow
Like many contracts, the issuer has left a notice on the town's notice board. In this case, it is in Lindenvale, in Velen's eastern area. You can also start t💎he contract by talking to the gravedigger, at the edge of൩ the town.
You can also start the short quest 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Fall of the House of Reardon at Lindenvale. You will be༺ able to earn more money and even meet a familiar face from The Witcher 2, should this person have survived.
The gravedigger is a man of few words, exchanging just enough to give Geralt an understanding of the situation. Lindenvale's graves have been dug up with the bodies eaten. The villagers had tolerated the si🌟tuation for a time, until a child had gone missing. The gravedigger believes that the creature eating corpses is the same one that attacked the child.
You can negotiate your contract or accept it outright.
Investigating The Cemetery
You will not have to travel far to find the cemetery and the pack of wild dogs that have begun to call it home. The dogs will promptly attack you and must be put down before you can begin investigating.
The dogs can be challenging enemies to defeat. If you are struggling, try to use Beast Oil and Quen while fighting them.
Once the cemetery is returned to a relatively safe state, you can search it for clues. Geralt can investigate the excavated graves to develop his hypothesis on what the culprit is. The graves themselves do not yield any conclusiv⛎e evidence.
To get started on the real hunt, you will have to circle to the back of the cemetery and use your Witcher Senses to find a large splotch to investigate. Geralt will pick up the scent of cadaverine from it.
For reference, this is essentially the smell of rotting corpses. Geralt's Witcher Senses will help him sniff out a trail to a small, abandoned hut not far from the 💞cemetery.
Searching The Hut
On first inspection, the hut is in a terrible state. Whatever inhabits it had created a nest and a ritualistic collection of human skulls. Geralt will need to investigate three clues to come to a conclusion.

The witcher reasons that only a grave hag would check all the boxes. It has both intelligence and an appetite for dead things to match the behavior Geralt has observed. He decides to pick up the skulls and use them as bait to lure the grave hag into a fight.
How To Defeat Mourntart
The target of the contract is called Mourntart, a powerful grave hag that had grown strong by feasting on Lindenvale's dead and through a ritual. You will need to return to the cemetery to battle it. Enter the chapel and interact with the pedestal to lure it in.
Meditating before the fight would be advisable. You would want to have a full array of potions and bombs for this fight.
Mourntart is no mere necrophage. This monster boasts plenty of health and is lethal at close to medium range. You will need to be mindful of two attacks.

Mourntart can quickly attack with its claws, often with little warning. It can chain several attacks together, quickly ripping Geralt and꧃ your health bar apart. |

Mourntart's long, venomous tongue will lash out, sweeping across a wide area almost instantly. Dodging may not be enough to avoid getting hit. It does not always poison Geralt, which is a small mercy. |
In essence, Mourntart is a fast grave hag that will have to be countered with the appropriate potions and signs. You should follow the Bestiary's recommendations for fighting her.

Once Mourntart is slain and its trophy looted, you can return to the gravedigger for your reward, ending the quest. Another quest Witcher Wannabe, will become available several🎃 days after you complete this quest.
