Due to the sheer amount of decisions you can make in this game, it would make sense for there to be dozens of endings. This isn't true, however, as the main endings players receive are based on critical decisions made with Ciri, arguably the most important character in the franchise. There are slideshow variations based 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:on side quest decisions, but those are so vast this guide will not be covering them. As for the main story itself, here are the choices you need to make to receive your desirable ending in The Witcher 3. Main story spoilers are in this guide.

10 Hearts of ♐Stone Foreshadowing 🃏

The Witcher 3 Hearts of Stone Master Mirror

Before you continue reading the rest of the guide, there is a way to learn how to get the best ending for The Witcher 3 in the game itself without external help.

At the end of the Hearts of Stone expansion, players have the option of helping Master Mirror in the final mission of the expansion. He promises he will fulfill any wish you have, which means youไ can ask where to find Ciri. He can't tell you where she is, but Mirror does tell you how to make every good choice to receive the best ending, all without spoiling the missions themselves. The suggestions he gives Geralt are vague but directly relate to every choice he must make.

9 ♒ Choice 1: Kaer Morhen 🦄

After the "Battle of Kaer Morhen" quest, all of your companions attend 𒉰a funeral for those who died in the fight. Ciri is furious with herself and the choices made during the fight, resulting in her asking Geralt for advice.

At this point, you can either tell her to relax or tell her you can lift her spir🍎its. Telling her to relax results in both of you drinking, resulting in Ciri still focusing on the battle. This decision leaves a negative effect on the ending. If you choose to lift her spirits, you engage in a light-hearted snowball fight with her. This has a positive effect on the ending you receive.

8 Choice 2: Vi🐼siting the Emperor

Right after the first decision, Geralt will talk with Ciri about what to do next. You can either meet with the Em🤪peror and receive compensation, or head to Velen and deal with Imlerith.

This decision doesn't grant a positive or negative effect on the ending but rather enables one of the endings to occur in place of another one. Visiting the Emperor will bring another critic𓂃al ending choice and prevent the good ending from occurring, but not visiting the Emperor prevents said decision and an alterna🎀tive ending.

7 Choice 3: Accepting the Emperor's Reward 🍒

If you do deci🦩de to visit the Emperor, be prepared 🧸to make yet another decision. When you arrive with Ciri, he greets her then offers compensation to Geralt in front of her.

You can either accept the money he offers as thanks for saving Ciri or refuse the compensation. If you accept it, you receive a massive chunk of cash but gain a negativ♔e point towards the ending. However, declining it will provide a black Nilfgaardian mare and grant a positive point towards the ending, as Ciri will think you saved her because y🌊ou love her rather than wanting a reward.

6 Choice 4: Speak with a Sorceress 🌠

the lodge of sorceresses witcher 3 storylines

In the "Final Preparations" quest, there come༺s a time where Ciri is requested to speak to a sorceress. Ciri doesn't know what to do in this situation, so she asks Geralt for advice.

You can either let her go by herself or accompany her. While going with Ciri sounds like the best thing to do, it actually causes Ciri to doubt her confidence as you talk for her and handle the🌸 sಞituation yourself. This has a negative effect on the ending you receive. However, letting her go alone will help instill confidence and cause a positive effect on the ending you receive.

5 Choice 5:꧅ Betrayal ✃

The Witcher 3 Avallac'h Lab

In "Battle Preparations," Ciri gets a feeling that Avallac'h is꧃ hiding something from the group. With the help of Geralt and Yennifer, they find his laboratory and realize that Avallac'h not only hates Ciri but has a massive obsession with her.

It's at this point she feels emotionally betrayed and gets furious. Ciri wants to destroy most of his lab and looks to Geralt for guidance. You can let her or try to calm her down. Calming her makes her feel insecure about herself and results in a negative effect on the ending. Letting her damage the lab makes her feel great for sticking with her decisions and grants a positive 🌞impact on the game's ending.

4 Choice 6: Paying her Respects 🍬

Witcher 3 Ciri Illuminated

Immediately after you make that decision, you will head outside and Ciri will mention that she wants to pay her respects to Skjall. You can choose to accompany her ෴or tell her there isn't enough time.

This is the final critical decision in The Witcher 3, so it's paramount you pick a decision with the outcome you desire. It's pretty clear that not taking her to Skjall's grave will upset Ciri deeply, which instills a lack of confidence in her and causes a negative effect on the ending. Of course, you can accompany her to the grave and hear some unique dialogue between Geralt and her. It's a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:fantastic cutscene quest that's worth doing on its own, but it also grants a positive effect o💫n 🔜the ending you get.

3 Good Ending: Ciri Becomes a Witcher ꧟

Ciri from The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt

So what do these good and negative effects mean for the ending exactly? The Witcher 3 has three distinct overarching story endings tꦜhat vary based on the decisions you made with Ciri on your playthrough.

To receive the best ending for The Witcher 3, players need to have caused more positive influences on Ciri than negative influences, and Geralt must not have brought Ciri to the emperor at the end of the "Battle of Kaer Morhen" questline. This ending shows Geralt receiving a new sword for a Witcher that we soon discover is Cဣiri herself.

2 ꦅ Bittersweet Ending: Ciri Becomes Empress

Witcher 3 Ciri White Frost

The ending where Ciri becomes Empress is rather bittersweet, although it fits with the world 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Witcher is set in. To get this ending, you must receive more positive influ♓ences on Ciri than⭕ negative ones.

Unlike the good ending, however, you must have also brought Ciri to the Emperor. The💫 decision you make on the compensation does not matter, but she must be presented to the Emperor 𒐪for this ending to trigger. In this ending, Geralt spends one last day with Ciri before she is taken off to Nilfgaard to serve as the kingdom's Empress.

There are few endings in ꦐvideo games that are as heartbreaking as this one. To receive this gut-wrenching ending, players must make more negative decisions towards Ciri than positive ones.

Visiting the Emperor is irrelevant for this ending to trigger. Ciri doesn't make it out alive in this ending, presumably ending the White Frost but dying with it. Geralt hunts for Ciri's Witcher medallion that has been stolen by one of the crones in Crookback Bog. With the help of a werewolf, Geralt slays the crone and retrieves it. He sits in a building crying to himself while 𝓡he gets swarmed with denizens of the swamp. It's unclear if Geralt survives, 🌟but the imagery at the end is so heartbreaking it's almost worth seeing on its own.
