Toussaint's beautiful architecture and landscape hide a dark past. The verdant land had, like many places in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Witcher 3, formerly belonged to the elves before humans drove them from ♕꧑the region long ago. While its current inhabitants prefer to keep their thoughts from their violent origins, the quest Extreme Cosplay brings their history to life. Literally.
This might be one of Geralt's most unusual adventures, starting with a bread-and-butter investigation into a mysterious✃ building before spiraling into a deadly historical reenactment. If you're struggling with any part of the quest, we've got you covered from the prologue to the finale.
How To Start Extreme Cosplay
Travel to the Doren Alma Estate to start this quest. It's a lone building southeast of Beauclair. When you arrive, investigate the door to start a cutscene where a man, Gaston, s🌼tarts calling for help from the road.
You only have one chance to start this quest. It will fail if you leave without continuing.
Geralt follows the man to a recently deceased corpse. It only takes a quick glance for Geralt to confirm that the man had suffered an unnatural death, warranting an investigation.
Gaston will join you, regardless of what you say. Don't worry, this isn't an escort mission.
Investigating The Estate
With a scared merchant in tow, enter the estate to find a charnel house. With corpses strewn across the ground and furniture flung about in every direction, you have plenty of clues to investigate.
Inspect whatever you wish, heading towards the fountain west of the entrance. There, you can find a burn mark with a scent that Geralt can follow. It leads him to the main building, where you can hear a man cowering inside.
Given that he's your only witness, knock on the door to get him to come out. Though shaken, he manages to introduce himself as Durand, the lord of the area. He is a member of a history-loving society that had re-enacted the elven surrender.
The only way to prevent whatever had caused the murder from striking again is for Geralt to confront and vanquish it. To do that, he will have to reenact the scene that Durand ဣhad done. Fortunately, both men volun📖teer, making it possible.
Reenacting The Scene
When night falls, everyone gets into position to start the reenactment. There are four steps to complete.
- Light the six candles around the fountain.
- Go to the chest on the left and take the bread, placing it on an altar.
- Return to the chest and take the wine and place it on the other altar.
- Take the sword and shield on the right. Equip them and interact with the carpet to kneel.
Equipping the shield might be confusing, considering that it's not Geralt's standard equipment. Find it in the Quest Items tab in your inventory and equip it to your gear wheel. Geralt will hold the shield after you select it from that menu.
Once everything is done, the reenactment continues. It ends with the statues coming to life and trying to kill the group.
How To Beat Extreme Cosplay
You are in for one of the toughest fights in the game, especially at higher difficulties. These statues are some of the deadliest foes you might face in Geralt's adventure, despite their appearances. They consist of two sorceresses and a number of spearmen.
You want to keep moving throughout. The sorceresses will use bolts of fire to hit Geralt from afar. Staying still for even a moment risks being hit by that attack. Try to keep dodging, even when there are no immediate threats to avoid this. While tempting refrain from rolling, otherwise you may prevent your stamina from recovering.
Prioritize killing the sorceresses before anything else. Their magic will keep you moving and even take out large chunks of your health while you're attacking other targets. Be wary of their tendency to release a blast of energy when Geralt's too close and be ready to dodge away to avoid it.
Your best bet would be to throw bombs at the statues whenever possible. While the animation puts you at risk of being hit by the sorceresses, catching the group with a Dancing Star or Samum will buy you a few precious seconds to recover. Northern Wind is particularly useful thanks to its ability to freeze your opponents solid.
If you haven't got any good crowd-control options, consider running up the stairs leading to the manor. This will funnel the statues through a tight space, minimizing the advantage that their nu✤mbe🧜rs gives them.
Though it may take a few attempts, you will eventually triumph, bringing the quest to a close. There are a handful of useful items, especially in the chest behind the fountain. Ma🔜ke ꦦsure to pick it up because you will not be able to return.
