I’ve always had a soft spot for the Scoia’tael, even if buddying up with the elvish and dwarven rebels feel counterintuitive to Geralt’s own goals. Despite that clash between what a witcher should be - an agent dedicated to protecting humanity, even if it’s for coin - I always lean toward helping the freedom fighters. A key reason for that is Iorveth, the lovable one-eyed rogue whose loyalty and charm make my inner bisexual giddy. Beyond being a badass, he’s a character with heart and drive. His motives are clear and he sticks by them. What’s more, Mark Frost’s performance rivals even that of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Doug Cockle as Geralt, meaning that every s💃cene with the pair is a carefully rehears🔯ed ballet of talent.

Yet for some bafflinꦏg reason, Iorveth is completely absent from .

There have been a few expansions launched since 2015, one of which 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:brought back theꦫ original Witcher’s Sha♌ni and proved that old faces returning isn’t unprecedented. It’s also worth noting that Iorveth’s rival in The Witcher 2, Roche, returns in the sequel as part of a conspiracy with Thaler and Sigismund Dijkstra. It is appearances like these that make Iorveth’s absence feels p💜articularly conspicuous.

In the current build of the game, there is only a passing reference to him as he is mentioned by Scoia’tael warriors. One says, “Have you heard the latest rumours about Iorveth?” The other responds, “So riddled with arrows, he resembled a hedgehog. I tell you, Iorveth is dead.” The other snaps back, hastily stating, “Dead? No, he’s been spotted in Novigrad.” There’s a mystified air surrounding what The Witcher 2’s best side character has been up to. However, in 2013 - prior to the game’s launch - the dev💃eloper revealed that Iorveth would be one of the main characters. Something stinks, and it isn’t the guts of an arachas.

From left to right, Ciri, Geralt, and Yennefer all stand looking at something off-screen

There was originally going to be 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a Nilfgaardian subplot regarding the outbreak of the Catriona plague. Some trickles of this can be found in the main game but, ultimately, it was completely scrapped and redone for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Hearts of Stone DLC. What would have originally unfolded is the dis🧔ease tearing apart Velen. To remedy this, Geralt needed to bring together Iorveth, Roche, Ves, and Thaler to acquire a cure from a rogue Nilfgaardian scientist named Martin. To boot, Iorveth was going to help Geralt find Triss and eventually take part in the climactic Battle o🍌f Kaer Morhen. There’s a rough model of Iorveth kicking about, one that still hasn’t been finished or used in the final version of the game. If CD Projekt Red isn’t done with The Witcher 3, then perhaps it’s time to revisit the idea of Geralt and Iorveth joining forces for one last adventure.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who would pay a little bit extra for more story content in The Witcher 3, especially if it was an expansion that brought back a fan-favourite. We might be getting𓆉 some Netflix-themed gear in the upcoming next-gen release, but CD Projekt Red shouldnꦗ’t stop there.

Cyberpunk 2077 Male V Leaning On Car

Look, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Cyberpunk 2077 hasn’t been ideal. Even with all the patches, it’s an average and messy experience, unable to hold a candle in its chromatic💫 arms to the studio’s prior work. Rushing and announcing too early all cultivated in one hell of a PR nightmare that the company is no doubt clawing to climb out of and it’s going to be an uphill battle restoring people’s faith. The sour aftertaste still lingers even now, nearly a full year later. The Witcher 3, on the other hand, put CD Projekt Red on the map, marking it as a favourite developer to many. Prior to Cyberpunk 2077's launch, it was the most beloved studio in the industry. Now it seemingly has a reputation on par with the likes of EA. All of this is to say that the best way to get out of that hole, to restore some good faith, would be to pl💫ay into its strengths - The Witcher.

Seemingly, that’s already happening with the next-gen port and collaboration with Netflix. That’s exciting in its own right, but the latest story content we’ve had out of CD Projekt Red has been a watered-down dystopia that takes the genre’s namesake and does little new or interesting with it. Iorveth coming back for a unique questline, a few hours of content, to buddy up with Geralt and🙈 continue the🌌ir platonic brotherly love in a dastardly quest of morally ambiguous heroism would be a treat.

His return is long overdue, and it isn’t right tඣhat his last appearanꦍces are a now-defunct MOBA, an unfinished Witcher 3 model, and a comic. Bring him back, CD Projekt Red. It’s not too late.
