Pomp and Strange Circumstance is the final quest in the expansion's main story. While it may appear that the day has been saved and that you're in the clear, that couldn't be further f🥃rom the truth. If you've come in to make sure that you've gotten everything just right, this guiꩲde will help you.
Getting Dressed For The Ceremony
This quest starts after 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Geralt and Regis defeat Dettlaff. With the Higher Vampire brought to a permanent end and Beauclair saved from destruction, Geralt has completed his contract on The Beast. The Duchess is not content to simply pay Geralt for his service. Instead, he's to be awarded Toussaint's highest decoration, The Order of Vitis Vinifera, at a ceremony.
This means that he needs to get dressed for the occasion. You'll start this quest at a tailor's, with Geralt being sewn into formal attire that looks as uncomfortable as it does garish. Before leaving, Regis mentions that they don't know who Syanna's final victim is. While she certainly isn't much of a danger anym꧟ore, you may be curious to know who her last target is.
You need to investigate this lead to get the best ending. We'll assume that you've chosen to read a guide to make sure you get the best possible outꦏcome and have wr💛itten this one to give you that result.
If you want to make sure that you've satisfied the other conditions, you can 168澳洲♍幸运5开奖网:check our Blood and Wine end🌠ings guide here.
You can choose to follow Regis to the bootblack for the investigation or to meet him there instead. Either way, Geralt will struggle to get the boy to speak. Regis has better luck, getting the bootblack to spill the identities of his couriers, the homeless men of Beauclair.
Visiting The Homeless Shelter
The homeless men tend to congregate at a shelter for their meals, giving Geralt a place to start looking. You find this shelter's owner being threatened by a pair of thugs. They won't take kindly to Geralt asking them to back off and will have to get your fancy clothes dirty by knocking them out.
After the fight is over, regardless of the victor, the owner will allow Geralt to ask his questions. Come evening, the homeless men arrive for their meal. With the owner's help, Geralt gets the final letter from one of them.
Geralt and Regis learn that the final victim is the duchess herself. It's grim news and makes too much sense to be ignored. For the best outcome, you will have to visit Syanna in her room for a final conversation to avert disaster.
Talking To Syanna
This time, the former princess is easy to find. She's been confined to a room in Beauclair Palace. Thanks to the reputation Geralt developed over his hunt for the Beast, the guards will let you talk to Syanna regardless of which dialogue option you pick.
What follows is a tense conversation between Geralt and Syanna abou✤t her motivations for murder and♑ what her actions have made her.
The ending itself rides on this conversation, with your choices here determining which outcome you get.
Ideally, you want to tell Syanna the following:
- "Cause she turned her back on you..."
- "Ever thought to forgive her?"
- "Might ask her that."
Choosing those options will avert disaster. Once the conversation is over, Geralt will have to talk to Damien de la Tour. Your options during this conversation do not matter, with the ceremony proceeding as planned.
Attending The Ceremony
With all loose ends 🦂tied up, it's time for the big moment, where Geralt can get his reward for finding and slaying the beast. You find the duchess in the middle of court, dealing with the aftermath of Dettlaff's rampage.
After placating a worried merchant, she turns her attention to Geralt. Thanking him for his hard work, she presents Geralt with a medal and, more importantly, 5,000 crowns for slaying the Beast. During this conversation, you can tell her about Syanna's plan to kill her. She won't believe Geralt even if you tell her, though she will summon Syanna to answer for her crimes.
This is the final ending-determining conversation choice.
The sisters face each other. Geralt will make a case for either being lenient toward Syanna or to punish her for her crimes. To ensure the best ending possible, you need to select "Syanna's crimes were horrible, but she had cause to feel pain."
If all has gone well, the sisters will argue, but reconcile in the story's best possible eꦦnding. Geralt will go to the ꦍcemetery to meet Regis to celebrate. If not...
Attending The Funeral
If you haven't managed to earn the best ending, Syanna will feign forgiveness and embrace her sister. She pulls out a hairpin to murder the duchess right then and there, before getting kill꧟e🐲d by Damien immediately after.
Several days later, Geralt visits the duchess' mausoleum to pay his final respects. This is a short and somber moment that has Geralt reflecting on his inability to protect eitherꩲ 🌳sister.
After taking a bouquet of the duchess' favorite flowers, you can talk to de la Tour for a final conversation, where you can share in your sorrows or belittle him. Finally, Geralt enters the crypt where he can either lay the flowers at the duchess' tomb or on both tombs.
Considering that the sisters are dead, your dialogue choices won't matter.
Regis will col☂lect Geralt on༺ce he's ready, taking him to the cemetery.
Bidding Regis Farewell
The old friends share a drink at the Mère-Lachaiselongue Cemetery, where the vampire had made his home. Halfway through, he suggests picking mandrake roots for another brew.🌜 Geralt agrees, joining him on a short walk through the grounds.
Regis will give you a set of gloves and a mask. You should wear both while picking mandrakes. Otherwise, the plants will rapidly increase Geralt's toxicity when extracted.
Use Geralt's Witcher Senses to find the plants in the dirt. You'll only need to find two.
Regis will go missing during your search, prompting Geralt to look for him. Once again, Geralt's Witcher Senses will prove useful, highlighting his footsteps and bringing you to hi♕m. He's locked in a battle against bruxae. With𓃲 his help, the lesser vampires fall quickly.
These vampires are significantly weaker than the others you have fought. They'll be defeated without much effort.
He explains that killing Dettlaff comes with consequences. Having committed the greatest sin among vampires, killing another, Regis will not be able to live in Toussa🐽int any longer. He has to travel abroad to avoid v🀅engeful vampires trying to kill him.
With that revelation made, he brings🀅 Geralt back to the cemetery where they share a final drink and a final conversation. The quest, and Blood and Wine's main story, both conclude here. Congratulations!
