Your first visit to Kaer Morhen in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Witcher 3 is a valuable opportunity for you to pick up equipment that will prove invaluable against the Wild Hunt. The vꦍalley hides old weapon diagrams, caches of alchemic🌳al supplies, and even a piece of Mastercrafted Wolven Armor.
The latter is found through the quest, The Witchers' Forge, which takes place in an abandoned iron mine near the fortress. It's particularly easy ꦐto miss if you haven't searched every nook and cranny in the area. This ꧙guide will help you find the note that starts the quest and with finishing it in one piece.
How To Start The Witchers' Forge
You will need to find and read Monstrum, or a Portrayal of Witchers. Volume 2. It's a document hidden in a chest in Kaer Morhen's southeast tower, connected to the kitchen.
While the contents are nonsense, a note scribbled in a margin claims that the book is a key to something in the iron mines. Without any further details, the only thing to do is to visit the nearby mine.
Exploring The Iron Mine
The mine is a short distance southwest of Kaer Morhen, across the river. Though it appears like an ordinary cave, it has an unusual resident; an earth elemental that will immediately try to kill you.
The earth elemental is a slow-attacking monster that has iron-hard skin, making it a lumbering foe that can weather even your strongest attacks. You can use Elementa Oil on your sword to deal more damage to it. A Dimeritium Bomb will reduce its damage resistance, making it that much easier to kill.
After killing the monster, look for a pedestal in the cave. It has the diagram for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Superior Wolf Gauntlets and is also the lock that the book is meant for. Geralt will place Monstrum on the ped🍨estal, opening another section.
Entering The Forge
Walk through the newly-opened tunnel to reach the final area, a forge hidden within the mine. You can find some loot in the containers around the forge, though the real prize comes after interacting with the bellows by the fire.
Doing so will awaken a fire elemental that will demand you to leave the forge. The conversation will end with the elemental trying to remove you with force. You will have to kill the elemental for your own safety.
The fire elemental is, unfortunately, on fire. Being in close proximity to it is inadvisable because of the heat coming from the monster. Extinguishing its flames with Aard or by throwing a Northern Wind bomb at it will remove this danger.
This should go without saying but do not, under any circumstances, use Igni on it. The sign will make the elemental stronger.
With the threat removed, return to the forge and walk to the wall behind it. Geralt will use the Eye of Nehaleni to dispel the wall, letting you help yourself to a set of chests that include valuable armor and the Mastercrafted Wolven armor.
