The original Witcher is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:getting a remake, but it's so far out that it'll be a long time before we get a glimpse at what improvements CD Projekt Red is making. In the meantime, one creative fan, by the username Heel_Rider, has put together an edit showing what the first Geralt rendition would look like in current-gen.
The original Geralt model was much different to those from the sequels, but he's immediately recognisable here despite the more up-to-date visuals. He looks thinner, has longer hair, is visibly younger, and has a faint stubble rather than a beard, all hallmarks of our fish-out-of-water, clueless post-book version. You can see it in his eyes - he's lost. Who's Vesemir? God knows.
Heel_Rider didn't posit this as a 'Look at The Witcher remake!" render, he described it as a "Witcher 1 Geralt redesign using editing", but many were quick to point out that it looks official. One commenter said, "No way[,] this is just a developer's post showing us leaks about witcher 1 hiding it as if it is an edited pic".
One commenter even suggested that he looks like Lambert, another member of the Wolf School. Stick a long white wig on him and I can see it, he has that smug I-can-take-on-anyone look the original Geralt had. Not that he's wrong. Geralt has fought everything from dragons to evil sorcerers to The Wild Hunt and come out on top.
Looking outside of The Witcher, others liken this rendition of Geralt to Val Kilmer, Pierce Brosnan, Adam Driver, and Zachary Quinto. I can see Val Kilmer and maybe Adam Driver, but Shazam? You're on your own there. Regardless, it's a neat insight into a game that is a long way off, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:launching after The Witcher 4. It'll be a long time before we see CD Projekt Red's take on a younger Geralt, but at least that gives us plenty of time to read all the books that Geralt forgot about.
I've never shared the love for Geralt so many others have (visually, I mean). He's a rugged, handsome, older man, so I get why people are so enamoured with him, but it's never clicked for me. I get it with this younger rendition, though - he is hot. And I'm not alone. One commenter, a little more crudely put, simply responded "Smash". Fair.
Geralt might look like this in the remake, or maybe CD Projekt Red will opt to slightly de-age 3's model to keep him familiar to fans of the newer game. Whatever happens, this might be our closest to a look at the remake for a few years.
