While there are tons of sorceresses in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The WitcherYen𒊎nefer is one of the most interesting of them, perhaps because she's the most mysterious. She doesn't show up in much of any of the games, and not even really in fꦗirst two games at all.

Unfortunately for fans of Yennefer Of Vengerberg, since we don't really see her until well after the beginning of the game, we aren't as well acquainted with her as we could be. Let's take a🐼 look at some of the things you might not know about her.

10 She's Always Been Geralt's Only ꦑLove

Even though they've both had their romantic adventures with other people in the past, this doesn't mean that they've truly had anyone else in their hearts since they met each other and realized their feelings for one another. One of the biggest threats to their relationship by far was Geralt's relationship with Triss. While this wasn't due to any fault of Geralt's, he still had a pretty serious relationship w🤪ith her due to his amnesia and a little help from Triss' magic.

9 Her Parents Were Abusive ♑

A big thing that people don't know about Yennefer that had a lot to do with the way she ended up as a person is the trauma that happened to her in her childhood. She suffered a 💞whole lot of abuse at the hands of h🐲er parents, mainly her father. Not only did he physically abuse her, but he made fun of her for the hunchback that she had, which he blamed on her Elven blood.

8 ꧂ Her Voice Actress Is🌄 Prolific

Actress Denise Gough

While you might not recognize Yennefer's voice immediately, you'll definitely recognize some of the productions she's been in. She's been in tons of things, from movies and TV shows to doing some of the voices in major gaming titles like Mass Effect Andromeda, Xcom 2, Star Wars Battlefront, and Dragon Quest.

It's li𒅌kely that after the success of the games she's been in, we'll be hearing a lot moreꦜ voice acting from Denise Gough in future video games.

7 She's Written To 🃏Defy Stereotypes

defy stereotypes

One of the things that the original author of the books the games are based on has said about Yennefer is that she was written the way she is for many reasons, one of those being that he wanted to create a character that defies the stereotypes of women in fantasy stories. Yennefer is anything but stereotypical considering she really doesn't just submit to Geralt's demands, she's not a damsel in distress, arguably being more powerful than ꦚGeralt in certain ways, and thoseꦐ are some of the things that make her such a captivating character.

6 ꦯ She Was Born On May Day

born on mayday

Something about Yennefer that's odd but makes a lot of sense is that Yennefer was born on May day, which is one of the most often depicted holidays for witches in all of fiction. It's where the familiar image of dancing around the maypole comes from, probably originating in some of the old Greek religions where it was often celebrated to worship deities like Dionysus. While it's not clear if there are specific holidays that sorceresses celebrate in the world of The Witcher, especially since Witchcraft isn't a religion in the series bඣut it's a really interesting choice nonetheless.

5 She♈'s Protective Of Ciri To A Fault

yen and ciri new

While Ciri's actual mother perished long ago while sailing and Yennefer is completely unable to have children, they're the closest thing that the other has to a mother or daughter. They spent tons of time together while Ciri was undergoing her training at 𒊎Kaer Morhen, and the🐷ir bond has only strengthened since then.

That being said though, Yennefer's care for Ciri meant♌ that she never joined the Lodge Of Sorceresses, which was devoted to getting rid of King Radovid since he decided to outla꧑w magic.

4 💖 S𒀰he's Been Blinded Before

blind

One of the things that people generally don't know about Yennefer is that she's been blinded before. In fact, without the use of magic, she'd most likely still be blind. This happened during the battle of Sodden Hill, where she, Triss, and tons of other sorceresses made a last stand in a gigantic battle against Nilfgaard when they were trying to push their way into the Northern🍃 Kingdoms. Thirteen of the sorceresses lost their lives in the battle, and🅘 Triss was assumed dead for a long time. Yennefer won the battle somehow, and as a result ended up blind after a fight with Fringilla.

3 Her Shoulders Are Still Crooked 𝔍

crooked shoulders

Apparently after Yennefer underwent certain procedures at Aretuza that were intended to fix all of her physical abnormalities and make hꦇer beautiful, they hadn't finished the job completely.

Surprisingly enough, the skil🎶led mages at Aretuza left just a little reminder of Yen꧟nefer's past deformity because when you're looking at her, you can still tell that maybe she's previously had some back problems. The telltale sign is that her shoulders aren't quite level, which is something that Geralt himself noticed before guessing what her old deformity was.

2 Sඣhe 🎃Struggled With Suicide Attempts

suicide

While Yennefer seems like she's more or less happy all the time now, knowing exactly where she's going and what she's doing all the time, she didn't always feel like she had something to live for. E🔯ven after her life was radically transformed after arriving at Aretuza, she decided to slit her wrists in a suicide attempt. This likely hasn't been the only time after all the abuse she suffered at the hands of her parents, but it's good to see that ever since she met Geralt, started making changes in the world, and developed a close relationship with Ciri, she's been doing much better.

1 There Are Clues That Geralt Loved Someone Else All Through The First Ga꧋me

clues

When you're playing the first game, it's pretty easy to assume that Triss has always been his biggest love interest, except if you're paying attention, reading books and talking to barkeeps, you'll start hearing things that make you think that mayb🐓e Triss hasn't always been Geralt's one and only. One of the biggest examples of this comes when Geralt is talking to someone who tells him about Dandelion's song in which he mentions that Geralt is married to a sorceress.
