Updated by Madison Lennon on February 15, 2020: Yennefer is one of the most popular characters in the entire Witcher franchise and the fantasy genre as a whole. Many fans are drawn to her because she's not a traditional heroine and is more of an anti-heroine.

She has done a lot of terrible things, but generally only to protect those she loves. Since the release of Netflix's Witcher series, the games, books, and franchise have skyrocketed in popularity. Now seemed like the perfect time to revisit this list and update it with a few terrible deeds perpetrated by Yennefer. She may be a powerful beauty, but she can also be quite the wicked witch when she wants.

Yennefer 4

Yennefer is not picky about who she chooses to ally herself with if they have something she needs. She worked alongsid♏e Emperor Emhyr to further his interests in exchange for his aide in finding Ciri, who also happens to be his daughter.

While it's clear that Yennefer doesn't necessarily care about Emyhr's political agenda, he is a stubborn imperialist who desires nothing more than to conquer any forei🅷gn land that doesn't already belong to him. He is an extremely aggr🌟essive ruler who created multiple wars against the Northern Kingdom.

Yennefer 2

During the short s🌺tory "Shard of Ice," there is a moment early on where Yennefer dumps dirty bathwater out of a window where it douses a random passerby. It is not a malicious act, more an accidental one, but still, a deed that proves how uncaring and self-centered Yennefer can be when she is inc🦄lined.

Geralt returns from hunting a zeugl and stinks of the sewer. The sorceress forces him into a cold bath and then magicks the water out the window, much to the annoyance of tho🧸se in the vicinity.

13 Advised 🧜A Known Racist

Yennefer

In t🎶he past, Yennefer served as an advisor to King Demavend III, a known racist, and hater of all nonhuman people, particularly mages. Despite his discriminatory atti𒁏tude toward nonhumans, he called upon Yen for help from time to time, although she never served as an official royal advisor.

Demavend was an authoritarian ruler who despised the Scoia'tael in particular. He would send armies into their lands to slaughter them and secretly delighted whenever they sought revenge by massacrin🌊g his own people since it justif🐈ied his brutal agenda.

12 She Almost Killed A Goldeඣn Dragꦅon For Selfish Reasons

Golden Dragon

In one of the short stories in Sword of Destiny titled "The Bounds of Reason," Yennefer joins a huntꦜ for a legendary golden dragon. Despite Geralt's moral code against hunting dragons because they🐼 don't harm humans (and humans are usually the ones to hunt dragons), Yennefer goes forward with the horde intent on killing it for allegedly attacking a village.

Her reasons are simple. She wants to use some of the creature's tissue to create an elix🐈ir that cures infertility. She even ﷺparalyzes Geralt at one point to keep him out of her way. Eventually, Yennefer has a change of heart.

In the first English translation book of series, The Last Wish, the star-crossed lovers meet for the first time after Dandelion is injureღd. Geralt finds Yennefer and asks her to heal his friend; in exchange, he will spend time with her that evening, answering any burning questions she may have. Instead of a heartfelt chat thou🃏gh, Geralt soon ends up being used as a puppet.

Yennefer takes control of Geralt, causing him to run around town and humiliate the men who𒐪 had spoken ill of the sorceress. This eventually ends up with Geralt in jail facing possible execution for his crimes.

Yennefer Istredd Cropped

While Istredd may not be the perfect boyfriend, he did truly love Yennefer even before she was beautiful. From the moment Istredd met Yennefer, he tri♉ed to protect her and even offered to take care of and allow her to live a life full of peace and love.

Of course, Yennefer's response to this was to belittle and reject him, even ignoring the fact that she had spied on him during her magic training. Later on, in the books, Yennefer would show up for spurts of time to rekindle their r🌟elationship only to disappear again.

Djinn Seal Breaking Cropped

Why did she get Geralt locked up and almost killed though? The answer is simple; she wanted to absorb the djinn he had fou🗹nd. That's right, instead of simply trying to make a wish, she wanted to absorb the creature into her 🍬body so that she could utilize its power as her own.

Not only was this plan risky to her, but she had no qualms about continuing aftꦓer Geralt showed up and was put in harm's way while trying to save her. She even forced Geralt to hastily maꦑke a wish so that the djinn would be weakened enough for her to not be destroyed by trying to control the monster's power.

8 Gave Geralt a🐼 🧸Cold Reunion

Yennefer Rude Comment Cropped

You would think that after Geralt saved Yen's life,🥃 she would become a little more compassionate towards the Witcher. The next time she meets him, though, Yennefer does little more than parade around her newest man, who she is only using to steal a dragon's heart.

This is another point in the series that points to the fact that Yennefer is more obsess🦩ed with her own goals than those around her. Whether it be playing with the hearts of honest men or showing little to no emotion towards those who saved her, the sorceress has little emotionꦑal warmth to give.

7 Destroyed Geralt's Property 🌳

Yennefer Stupid Bed Cropped

Once Yen and Geralt had a solid lead on Ciri, she returned to Kaer Morhen to begin preparing to undo Uma's 🅘curse. Instead of politely walking in, she disregards the othe♋r Witcher's request and goes straight to Geralt's room to begin her work.

When she arrived in the room, Yennefer proceeded to use magic in order to send Geralt's bed flying out of the win♚dow. Not only could this have injured someone, but her reasons were also purely based on her jealously towards Triss, who had clearly taken advantage of Geralt when he had amnesia.

6 Threw Geralt Into a Lake 💛 𓃲

Yennefer Being Cold Cropped (1)

Upon realizing he no longer had a bed to sleep in, Geralt approached Yen to try and talk thingꩲs out. This, o🐭f course, didn't end in their issues being resolved as she opened a portal under Geralt's feet.

Wﷺhile she did dro🦂p him into a lake, if her portal was above land, the length of the drop could have easily killed or seriously hurt Geralt. After Geralt swims out of the lake to talk to her once again, she mentions that maybe she should have teleported him a bit higher since it was a view to die for.
