Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire are two of the most memorable 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon games in the series. They introduced some new mechanics that are standard in all Pokémon games today, such as double battles. This list will give some insight into what most players just walked by or never got the chance to finish while playing the game. Pokémon games always seem to have one more secret up their sleeves, so these are the top 15 things players completely missed in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.

Updated November 28th, 2020 by Hayley Mullen: Just when you think you've discovered all of a video game's secrets, there always seems to be one more thing that other players have found and are excited to share. We've added some more great details about Ruby and Sapphire that fans missed their first time around in the Hoenn region.

15 🐬 ꦉ The Trick House

Run by an old man who goes only by the name of "The Trick Master", the Trick House is a puzzle house located on route 110 in the Hoenn region. It is a house filled with mazes and there are eight rooms in total. Although many players did discover this house, most did not end up completing it because it required all eight badges to complete all eight rooms. Each room has a unique gimmick that makes it 🍒stand out from the rest.

If the player completes the eighth and final puzzle, they will be rewarde🥂d with either the Red Tent or the Blue Tent ornament𒐪. The ornament color will depend on which version of the game the trick house is completed on.

14 The Diplomaꦺ

Although all Pokémon fans enjoy catching Pokémon, not everyone enjoys the grꦐind of catching every single one. Many players missed out on getting a prestigious in-game diploma by capturing every Pokémon in the game and completing the Pokédex. Completing the Pokédex requires a lot of work and a decent amount of trading with other players.

The diploma is deliv♒ered in the games by an in-game Game Freak employee. Although it takes a lot of work to get, the diploma isn't ꩲentirely pointless, the player can hang it up in their secret base as a piece of furniture.

13 🌌 The Developers Daughter

This is a cute easter egg in Ruby and Sapphire. A girl named Kiri who resides in Sootopolis City is actual༒ly the in-game incarnation of developer Junichi Masuda's daughter. She was born right before the games were finished and Game Freakও decided to give her a place in the upcoming games.

Every day she hands out 2 berries to the player. Most players missed this because there's no🐻 way to tell in-game that she's his daugh♚ter, but it's nice that they decided to put her in the games. Also, who doesn't love free berries?

12 G▨otta Catch 'Em All

Although most players didn't realize it was missing, the iconic catchphrase of the series seemed to vanish soon after Ruby and Sapphire released. This was due in part to the fact that every Pokémon couldn't be caught in-game at the time of the release of Ruby and Sapphire, a𓆏nd Game Freak thought it would be misleading to have a statement such as "Gotta Catch 'Em All" on all the art and promotional material if it wasn't accurate.

At the release of the game, only 202 Pokémon could be caught. This changed however after the release of Pokémon LeafGreen and FireRed because you could trade the rest over from ꦡthe Gen I Remakes. This was an unfortunate change to the series at the time, but at least Gen III brought us things to make up for it, such as the adorable Mudkip!

11 The Sealed Ch💟ambers ♓

Every player loves a mystery! And for the young players of Ruby and Sapphire at the time of their release, this was the most mysterious location in the game. The player could hear rumors and legends of the sealed chambers from residents of Pacifidlog town. If the player headed west fr🔴om the town along route ဣ134, they could find a place to dive down into.

After diving down and getting to the bottom, the player could find brail inscribed leading them to the sealed chambers. Once inside the player must complete puzzles and once they are completed, Hoenn will shake with a massive 💎earthquake and 3 chambers will open up around the region. The player can then go to these regions and attempt to catch the Legendary Titans, Registeel, Regirock, and Regice. Unfortunately, many players missed out on catching these amazing creatures because of the complexity of finding the sealed chambers.

10 Scorched Slab ꧃

scorched slab pokemon ruby sapphire

Tucked away underneath a bridge on Route 120 is an easy-to-miss cave that's known as the Scorched Slab. It's as tiny on the inside as it is on the outside, with its entrance being made up of water that leads to a small ledge at the back o🐻f the cave. There is the Scorched Slab's only treasure: TM11, or Sunny Day.

The item isn't the only interesting thing about this place, however: Scorched Slab is deliberately made to represent Ama-no-Iwato, which is a cave in Japanese mythology. The story goes that Amateratsu, the Japanese goddess of the sun, was driven into the cave by her disruptive br🌄other, Susano'o, the god𝄹 of storms. Amateratsu spent a long while in the cave, and the world had no light during that time, which is why Route 120's Scorched Slab contains Sunny Day.

9 ꦐ Lilycove Dep༒artment Store Sale

lilycove city pokemon

If players had beaten the Elite Four and continue to play the game, they may encounter a news broadcast on television announcing Lilycove Department Store's Rooftop sale. This is a rare sale where players can obtain special furniture for their secret bases, items 𒊎that can't be obtained by any other method.

The furniture selection is both practical and fun: players can purchase fences to keep their bases divided and orderly aꩵnd solid boards to cross naturally-occurring gaps. Conversely, they can splurge and buy a large slide to turn their base into a playground, or purchase toy televisions and huge Pokédolls such as Wailmer. It's best to buy as much as possible when the sale comes around since there's no telling when it will come again.

8 🔴 Space Station Laun❀ches

rocket launches mossdeep city pokemon ruby sapphire

In the early ages of Pokémon and the Internet, rumors flew across the web about secret ways to obtain legendary and mythical Pokémon such as Jirachi or Dexoys, but one specific method in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire stuck around the lo𒊎ngest and perhaps became the most well-known rumor of them all: th𒀰e space station launches.

This rumor connected the number of successful launch🌸es in the Mossdeep Space Center to being able to fly in one of the rockets into space to encounter Jirachi or Dexoys. These rumors were unfortunately fake, but the truth behind the counter is actually quite interesting. The amount of successful launches counts the number of weeks passed since the player began their game. As long𒐪 as the internal battery stays intact, the player can use the count to track how many weeks since beginning their Pokémon journey.

7 🐎 Battle Tower

The Battle Tower is responsible for inspiring many future post-game battle challenges such as Pokémon Emerald's famous Battle Frontier, as well as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon Platinum's own Battle Frontier. Found on a lonely island out ꦅ👍in the ocean, trainers battle opponents in sets of 7 matches at a time, trying to obtain the highest streak possible.

Glory isn't the only reason to play; players will receive p❀rizes for each streak they complete, with each prize rarer than the last. Pokémon can receive medals for achieving 56 straight wins, and players will receive trophies for their secret bases.

6 Latias and Latios 🌌

pokemon ruby sapphire latios

They may be announced in a television news specia𒈔l, but they sure aren't easy to find and catch at all. Latias and Latios, known as the Eon Duo, are powerful Psychic-type Po🐻kémon that roam Hoenn and flee from battle on their first opportunity, making them rather difficult to find and catch.

Many players may find themselves distracted by the other post-game content Hoenn has to offer, but these two creatures make it worth the while, especially when facing the Battle Tower. Players of Pokémon Sapphire will find Latias roaming across Hoenn, while Pokémon Ruby players will encounter Latios instead.
