9 Kill Two Birds With One Bullet 🐟Penetration
It’s entirely possible to kill two enemies in Gears Tactics with a single shot. Bullet penetration is a thing in this game, with shots capable of traveling not only through certain objects, but enemies (and allie🅰s) too.
It would behoove players to line their soldiers up so they’re in a position to take advantage of enemies getting too close together. Yes, heavies can lay dowไn impressive fire, b♎ut a basic Lancer soldier can also take out multiple enemies if players are playing strategically. It’s only useful (or possible) in rare circumstances, but it could be the deciding factor in a close fight.
8 Friendly Fire is Deadly ⛄
Speaking of bullet peꦐnetration, keep 𓆉in mind it’s a double-edged sword. Grenades can damage friendly units if they’re too close to the point of impact, but so can every other attack, a fact players might learn the hard way if you have a unit on overwatch and they hit one of your soldiers who’s behind a moving enemy.
Sometimes someone is just going to have bad luck, but always make sure the units are🌟 spread out. When flanking enemy units, make sure there aren't any other soldiers in a p🔜osition who can hit the player just as easily as the enemy.
7 ꧟ Use Those Exe🌸cutions
Executions in Gears Tactics isn’t just there as a callback to previous games, it has a point. When committing an execution on a badly injured enemy, every soldier in the squad will gain one extra action point. This is crucial later in the game when the difficulty starts ramping up🙈.
Here’s a tip: if taking on aꦑ t🌄ough boss, injure all the weaker enemies first, but don’t kill them yet. When their health is sufficiently whittled down, unleash a string of executions at once to give a huge boost in action points that can be used on the boss.
6 Woundeℱd Soldiers Don’t Stay Hurt After Battles
If anyone is used to playing XCOM or 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Darkest Dungeon or any 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:other tactical RPG168澳洲幸运5开奖网:, it may seem vital to heal the downed soldiers as soon as possible in battle, lest they develop some permanent negative trait. That’s not the case in Gears Tactics though.
As long as a downed soldier doesn’t die, they won’t suffer any negative effects going forward. Players will want to heal soldiers anyway to get them back in battle, but if for whatever the player is not able to, they don’t h🐓ave to worry about long-term negative attributes coming back to bite them.
5 You Can Pretty ♔Much Clone Dead Soldiers
Here’s a fun fact: thanks to the rando🎀m soldiers in the recruitment pool having no points assigned to them, and the extensive customization options, players can sort of clone soldiers you’ve lost in battle. Just grab a new recruit, customize their looks so they look like the fallen soldier, and start assigning them skill points that mirror the fallen soldier.
The game even gives players the gear from fallen soldiers back,𒀰 so they'll be able to give the replacement soldier the dead soldier’s great armor or weapons straight away. This only works for random recruits though, letting one of the main characters die in battle will result in a game over.
4 ಌ There Are Checkpoints, So Go Crazy
Gears Tactics isn’t rogue-like the same way XCOM is, so there’s a more narr🅘ative-driven campaign. While there’s perma-death for random soldiers, that’s not the case for the m🌟ain cast (Gabe, Sid, and Mikayla).
As such, Gears Tactics won’t let players continue if a main character dies. Forcing gamers to restart an entire mission would be a bit harsh🍸. As a co🌌mpromise, the game features checkpoints throughout missions, so if the player dies, they won’t lose a ton of progress. So don’t be afraid to be aggressive, worst-case scenario, only a few minutes of progress will be lost.
3 💟 Wait Your Turn, or Don’t
Gears Tactics automatically assigns which characters go in which order. But this is more of a s﷽uggestion than a steadfast rule. As long as it’s the pl🧔ayer's turn, they can move and use action points for whichever character they want.
As long as that character has action points to spend, play♉ers can swap between charac🍸ters in the turn order at will. Move one character, attack with a second, move a third, then go back to the first to attack again.
2 🌳 Emergence Holes Are Deadly for Friend and Foe
Emergence Holes are equal parts terrifying and wonderful. Sure, they spawn enemies that can attack the player right away. But if the player has a Heavy with a knock-back perk or even just explosives, they can force a Locust back down the hole, killing it insta🔯ntly, even if it has full health.
On the flip side though, enemies can do the same. If one of the characters falls down one of these holes, they'll be lost for good, or players will have to reload a previous checkpoint if it’s a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:main character. There are definite benefits for getting close to the holes, and for keeping some dist🅰anc🌳e.
1 ও An Xbo💧x One Version Is Coming
Currently, Gears Tactics is exclusive to the PC. But if gamers don’t have a computer powerful enough to run the game well, fret not, for a console version is . The game will come to Xbox One, but it will presumably also come out on the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Xbox Series X.
It could also be part of 🦂Microsoft’s free upgrade program♑, allowing players to buy a game for the Xbox One, and get a free upgrade to the Series X version when the console comes out.
