In 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Telling Lies you are investigating the case of David Smitꦛh, a former FBI agent who was active between the years 2017-2018. He worked the case code "Green Dagger" while undercover and reporting to his handler Mike. His goal was to uncover any potential acts of terrorism committed or planned by the environmental group Green Storm, which was led by activist Riordan.
You’re given case files full of documents, video, and audio, and must determine who is lying until you piece together the true story behind David and the pipeline protests committed by Green Storm. As you tie together ends, you’ll find some stil♒l hang loose- often with little to no true closure.
6 ꦯ Why Are The FBI Looking Into The Pipeline Protesters? 🐲
A lot of the video evidence of the pipeline protesters shows them peacefully protesting, with no indications of violence to gain the FBI’s attention. The explosion on the bridge seems 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:unrelated to the Green Storm organization, and the evidence i💧sn’💙t there to suggest a link other than David (and Simon) saying so.
It seems more like the government usi🍃ng ‘dirty tactics’ to blame Green Storm so they can keep a watchful eye on environmental protesters that are going against their interests. In that case, the government didn’t provide enough evidence to allow the common person to connect the dots from the explos꧅ion to the pipeline protesters.
5 🍌 Why Did The FBI Raid Ava&rs😼quo;s Apartment?
The FBI’s concern with Ava is murky at best throughout the whole🍷 game. They seemingly pick her at random to be David’s point of contact in Green Storm, which creates a convolu෴ted bond between the two.
The raid seems to be a result of Mike, David’s handler, being suspicious that David was losing the narrative and getting too involved in the movement, though it isn’t clear. If Mike is concerned David is switching sid꧋es, using Ava as a means to get to him makes sense when you con🐓sider they’re close, but not enough sense when you remember their relationship is very touch and go.
4 🅰 Who Is Chris/Simon? ♉
Simon is not clearly d💯efined as an agent with the FBI, but is undercover just like David. He is i𒀰nvestigating if the pipeline protesters are committing or planning terrorist acts, but unlike David, doesn’t seem to be pushing towards it.
Since they are both plants from the same government organization, but have differing tactics and goals, it then makes it unclear who is truly acting on behalf of the FBI, and who is acting on behalf of their own goals and morals. This is especially confusing when the only logical reasoning behind the raid of Ava’s apartment hinges on David being radicalized by the p🌸rotesters.
3 🐠 What Is The Timeline Of David𒈔’s Relationships With Ava, Maxine, And Emma?
Emma is David’s wife. They’ve be🐎en together since David killed her abusive ex-boyfriend - which she witnessed. Her reasoning for leaving David aftওer years of marriage and having kids together isn’t because of his dangerous behavior or actions, but because of his affair with Ava.
Ava is a committed activist in Green Storm who is used by David as an in for the group. He needs her to vouch for him, and they form a hectic but strong bond as a result. Ava, confusingly, wants to cease working with Green Storm once she finds out she’s pregnant, as she wants to form a family with David. He,✤ however, then leaves her, citing the FBI being after him as the reason he can’t stay with her.
Maxine is a cam girl that David has watched during this timeframe with Green Storm, forming an unhealthy attachment to her that culminates in him threatening to track her down after Ava and Emma are out of the picture, and Maxine using video she has of him as blackmail. None of these relationships or failings have anything to do with the plot of Telling Lies, even when they sho🔜uld have a connection.
2 Who Is Harry? 🔯
A contact of David's, it’s unclear if Harry is FBI, a regular police officer, or some other kind of official. He provides explosives to David, and gets Maxine’s personal information for David when he wants to track her down.
Harry only appears in a few videos in Telling Lies, but you&rsq▨uo;re led to believe they’re friends who trust one ano﷽ther. As such, you don’t expect the enabling behavior Harry provides David and his destructive actions. The entire relationship seems empty, which makes it concerning how easily Harry gives David the explosives.
1 What ဣIs Karen’s Obsession With Davi🔥d And The Pipeline Protesters?
Aside from being who you are 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:seeing all the evidence through, Karen is a𒆙 former FBI agent who seems to have a minimal relationship with David, but is obsessing over figuring out the case. It’s unclear if they dated at one point, or just knew each other in college, but ultimately her goal is less about David and his demise.
Karen’s goal is to expose the misdeeds of the FBI and the government as a whole when it comes to labeling groups and going after environment♔al organizations that go against their interests. As a result, though, she must present the &☂lsquo;truth’ that David isn’t a terrorist alongside Green Storm. The narrative here is messy and how she goes about her tasks works for and against one another.
