Pokemon Go's celebration of everything spooky continues this week with the continuation of its annual Halloween event. Meanwhile, the Go Battle League is swapping to its Ultra competition, and Philadelphia's Safari Zone is finally taking place after being rescheduled.

Niantic has also outlined a few things worth noting, including dates for the next Community Days, Niantic's first Developer Diary, and a preview of November events. We've outlined all of that and more.

Ending This Week

A couple of things are wrapping up soon, so let's take a look before we get into the new events.

• Monday, October 25: The GBL will change from the Great League to the Ultra League (more info on that below)
• Sunday, October 31: Technically, this is next week, but consider this a heads up that the Halloween event will wrap up on Sunday at 8pm local time.

Halloween Part 2: Ghoulish Pals

Last week, the Halloween 2021 event switched over from Part 1 to Part 2. This second half features different spawns, Raids, Pokemon in Eggs, and more. Here's a brief rundown of what's new in Part 2:

• Phantump and Pumpkaboo have debuted, along with their evolutions (Trevenant and Gourgeist, respectively). Pumpkaboo is available in four different sizes.
• There's a timed Collection Challenge that tasks you with catching each size of Pumpkaboo. The reward is five Rare Candies.
• Another round of Hoopa's Special Research story is available (more on that below)

Here's who you'll find in Raids for the duration of the week:

Halloween Raid Weekend

As part of the Halloween celebrations, there will be a special Raid event this weekend. From 10am local time on Saturday, October 30 to 8pm local on Sunday, October 31, there will be an increase of Mega Absol and Darkrai Raids. Sadly, there's no bonus Raid Pass element to this event.

Tip: If you haven't 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:evolved a Pancham into Pangoro yet,ꦦ this can be a great opportunity to do so. You need to make Pancham y🐎our buddy and catch 30 Dark-types, then use 50 Pancham candies.

Ultra League

On Monday, October 25 at 4pm E🔯DT, the Great League will c🐓lose, and the Ultra League will begin. The special Halloween Cup will continue on through to November 2, though. Then, alongside the Ultra League, the Ultra League Premier Cup will run.

Here are the details of each tournament:

The Halloween Cup will end on Monday, November 2, at 4pm EDT. The Ultra League and Ultra League Premier will end on Monday, November 8, at 4pm EDT. Replacing them will be the Master League, Master League Classic, and a special Player's Choice cup, outlined in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Updates From Niantic section below.

Spotlight Hour and Raid Hour

We're looking at Dark-types for the special hourly events this week. In true celebration of the Halloween season, Murkrow and Darkrai will both serve as headliners.

On Tuesday, October 26, from 6pm to 7pm local time, you can expect to see Murkrow as the featured Pokemon of the weekly Spotlight Hour. The bonus this week is double XP for evolving Pokemon.

Then, look to your local gyms for the weekly Raid Hour event on Wednesday, October 27, from 6pm to 7pm. You'll see an increased number of Tier 5 Raids, featuring Darkrai as the Raid boss.

Philadelphia Safari Zone

Another rescheduled Safari Zone event is taking place this week, this time in Philadelphia. If you have a ticket, you don't need to be in Philly to play, as the event is now global. It'll take place from Friday, October 29 at 11am local time to Sunday, October 31 at 5pm. If you are in the city, you need to RSVP to play in person. Ticketholders should have received an email with more instructions on the RSVP system.

Special Pokemon will be spawning, you can obtain special 2km Eggs, Lure Modules will last four hours, Incense will run for eight hours, and there will be exclusive Special and Field Research. C🦂heck for more details on the event.

If you had the City Explorer ticket, you should have received a refund by October 2, as that portion of the event has been cancelled. If you haven't, definitely contact Niantic support.

Updates From Niantic

There's been quite a bit of news from the developers this week. Here's a summary.

Developer Diary

Keeping with their promise of transparency and giving us regular updates, Niantic has released their first Dev Diaries video. Michael Steranka, Director of Global Product Marketing for the game, answers questions and speaks about some of the game's features and future events. Check it out here:

Community Day: Shinx

As part of the Dev Diaries, it was revealed that November's Community Day will take place on November 21. They also informed us that December's Community Day will be a two-day event and take place the weekend of December 18 and 19.

Special Research

There's a bit of Special Research to note. First, as part of the Halloween event, "What Lies Beneath The Mask" is ongoing. Cဣomplete the tasks to earn encounters with Yamask and others.

Misunderstood Mischief, the Special Research surrounding the Mythical Pokemon Hoopa, is also ongoing. Niantic announced initially that the steps would roll out over time. Now, with Part 🍃2 of the Halloween event, another step has been released. Niantic has also said that🧸 those who complete this Special Research questline will unlock another when the Season of Mischief comes to a close at the end of November.

Player's Choice Poll

Niantic has opened up voting for players to choose the special GBL cup that will take pla✨ce in November. Voting is taking place for a short while longer on Twitter, and the winning tournament will run alongside the Master League and Master League Classic starting November 8.

November Events

The events for November have been announced, though many of the details have not. We'll have all the major things you need to know closer to when these events and other goings-on start, but here's a quick preview:

• Vullaby will be the Research Breakthrough reward.
• There will be a weekly bundle for 1 PokeCoin each week, with each one containing a Remote Raid Pass and some other supplies.
• Five-Star Raids will feature Darkrai's last few days, then Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, and Cresselia. All of these Pokemon will be featured in Raid Hours throughout the month, as well.
• Mega Raids will feature the last few days of Mega Absol, then Mega Manectric and Mega Lopunny.
• Spotlight Hours will feature Cacnea, Chinchou, and the Sinnoh Starters.
• On November 1 and 2, there will be a Día de Muertos event.
• A Festival of Lights event will take place from November 5 to November 14.
• The launch of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl will be celebrated in Pokemon Go with an event from November 16 to November 21.
• The aforementioned Season of Mischief wrap-up will take place, and new Special Research will unlock toward the end of the month for anyone who completed Misunderstood Mischief.
• November 21 is Shinx Community Day.
