Shinx Community Day

Sunday, November 21 from 11am to 5pm local time

Depending on when you’re reading this, Shinx Community Day is ongoing, not yet started, or already fin🌠ished. The eventꩵ runs today (Sunday) from 11am to 5pm. Here’s what to expect:

• Shinx will be appearing in significant numbers, and their shiny rate is boosted
• Shinx and Luxio evolved up to Luxray will learn the CD-exclusive move Psychic Fangs (available until 7pm)
• Incubators will be 4x more effective, meaning Eggs will only require a quarter of the distance walked to hatch
• 4x chance to earn Candy XL when transferring Pokemon
• Triple transfer candy
• Incense and Lure Modules activated during the event window will both last for three hours
• Photobomb snapshot surprises
• You can get up to three free Raid Passes from Gyms (available until 7pm)
• Trade costs will be reduced by 25% (available until 7pm)

Ed Sheeran x Pokemon Go

Monday, November 22 at 2pm EST to Tuesday, November 30 at 4pm EST

In a very surprising🅠 announcement, Niantic is teaming up with Ed Sheeran for a special event in Pokemon Go.

There is going to be a performance by the artist in the app throughout the event's duration, which you can see by checking the in-game News section. There will also be in-game music, specifically Sheeran's song "Overpass Graffiti," playing at night.

Apparently, Eddie chooses Water-type Starters every time he plays a Pokemon game. So,♔ Water-type Starters will be spawning in the wild.

Specifically, you can exp🥀𓃲ect the following Pokemon:

• Sunglasses Squirtle
• Totodile
• Mudkip
• Piplup
• Oshawott
• Froakie

Sunglasses Squirtle will also be available as🙈 an enc𝔉ounter for Field Research tasks.

There are some new items to celebrate the partnership, as well. Stickers themed around the Water-type Starters will be available from gifts, the shop, and PokeStops. There's a sweatshirt featuring the = symbol from Sheeran's album of the same name that you can obtain by redeeming this code:

Finally, there'll be an event bundle in the shop. It's free and you can grab it once. It contains the following:

Go Battle League Changeover

Monday, November 22 at 3pm EST

This week, we’re heading into the final round for Season 9 of the GBL. All leagues will be available, running through to November 29 at 3pm EST. Special leagues won't be available, it’ll just be the standard ones.

Spotlight Hour and Raid Hour

This week’s Spoꦍtlight Hour and Raid Hour events are continuing the focus on Sinnoh Pokemon in celebration of the Brilliant Diamond & Shin🗹ing Pearl release.

Spotlight Hour: On Tues📖day, November 23 from 6pm to 7pm local time, Chimchar will be the featured Pokemon. For Turtwig’s Spotlight Hour last week, it was wearing a Lucas Hat, so it’s likely that Chimchar will be wearing either a Lucas Hat or ꧟Dawn Hat, as well. The bonus this time around is double catch XP.

Raid Hour: This week, the Raid Hour’s featured Pokemon 🥂is C🏅resselia again. The event takes place Wednesday, November 24 from 6pm to 7pm local time.

Season of Mischief Epic Event

Friday, November 26 at 10am local time to Monday, November 29 at 8pm local time

At long last, the Season of Mischief is coming to a close. The actual♎ Season itself ends on December 1 at 10am local time, but before that, there’s going to be a special “Epic Evꦰent.”

As part of this short event, you’ll be able to unlock a new Special Research story surroundin⛎g Hoopa. You can gain access to this Special Research in two different ways:

1. Complete the Misunderstood Mischief Special Research by 9:59am local time on December 1.
2. Buy access for $5 or the equivalent in your local currency.

We don’t really have any details for what else is happening as part 🌞of this event at the moment.

News, Updates, and Reminders

There have been quite a few updates over the pa🐎st little while, and there will probably be more throughout the coming daysꦫ as November ends and December starts. Here’s all the news from Niantic, as well as some reminders for ongoing features.

December Community Day

December 18 and 19, with some bonuses beginning on December 17

The details for December’s Community Day have been announc🌊ed. As always, it’ll be a two-day event with a roundup of the Pokemon from the first 11 months of the year. Each day will have different wild spawns, as follows:

Additionally, Pokemon from 2020’s Communi♌ty Days 🌸will be available in Eggs and Raids.

There will be several bonuses in effect f𒆙rom 11am to 5pm local time on December 18 and 19:

• Incense and Lures will last for three hours
• Eggs will only take 50 percent of the regular distance to hatch
• Double catch XP
• Double catch Stardust
• Timed Research will be available
• Special Research will be available (tickets will go on sale closer to the date)

Additionally, throughout the CD weekend and couple of days on either side of it, the🎃re will be some additional bonuses at varying times:

Dec. 17 at 1pm local time to Dec. 19 at 11:59pm local time:

• 25 percent Stardust discount on trades
• 1 extra special trade per day

Dec. 17 at 10am PST to Dec. 20 at 10am PST:

• All Pokemon will have access to their Community Day moves when evolved to their respective final forms
• Field Research tasks will reward Mega Energy for Charizard, Beedrill, Gengar, Gyarados, and Altaria
• Event bundles will be available in the shop, including a free box with 30 Ultra Balls

Dec. 18 at 11am local time to Dec. 20 at 10am local time:

• A Timed Research questline will be available

It’s unclear why Niantic made this so confusing, but be sure to take note of when each bo🍬nus is active so you don’t miss out.

Box and Item Storage Increase

As part of the Community Day cel🗹ebrations, Niantic has announced maximum capacity limits on Pokemon box storage and item bag♏s can be increased even further.

Starting on December 16 at 1pm PST, y⭕ou add an additional 500 slots in Pokemon and item storage, up to a maximum of 5,500 and 4,500, respectively.

Support for iOS 12 Ending

Unfortunate𒉰ly, with the next update, support for devices running iOS 12 🤡is ending. Those running iOS 13 or higher and Android users are not affected by this.

To determine which version of i🌞OS your device is running, go into your settings, then click “General” and t✨hen “About.” If you are running iOS 12, you’ll need to update to iOS 13 or higher.

> Monday Bundles

Every𓂃 Monday, a bundle is available in the in-game shop for 1 PokeCoin. Each week, there will be a Remote Raid Pass and some various supplies like potions, balls, and berries.

> Mega Houndoom CP Boost

Throughout November, Mega Houndoom will have a CP boost. This boost is seemingly the final Mega CP boost following those for Slowbro and Gengar,🍌 and it’s unclear if these will be activated for other Pokemon in the future.
