Let’s get the big news out of the way first - Sylveon finally joined the Pokemon Unite roster this week. But as exciting as this was for fans of the popular Fairy-type, players quickly spotted that it was really, really overpowered. Elsewhere, it’s been the usual week of fans requesting changes they would like to see in the game, in a bid to make it fairer. Who knows? With Timi responding to the Sylveon news so quickly, maybe it is keeping a closer eye on community feedback than we might have thought. Here are the biggest stories from the Pokemon Unite community this week.
Sylveon Is Now Playable
Finally, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the best Eeveelution is here. Having been revealed in August, Sylveon finally joins the roster as a ranged attacker. The Fairy-type Pokemon can learn Swift, Baby Doll Eyes, Mystical Fire, Hyper Voice, Draining Kiss, and Calm Mind. It starts out as an Eevee and evolves through levelling up - a far cry from the🌸 intricate process of getting one in the base games.
...And Is Quickly Nerfed
Well I did say Sylveon was the best Eeveelution, didn’t I? Apparently it's just too good though, as it was h𒐪it with a nerf only two days after 🐲joining the roster. Now, Hyper Voice and Mystical Fire do reduced damage, following the community’s complaints that the moves made Sylveon the mo🍒st powerful Pokemon in the game. This was a quick turnaround for an update, and suggests developer Timi does pay close attention to how new Pokemon interact with the meta.
Respawn Times Reward Bad Players
The respawn times in Pokemon Unite have been controversial for a while, but now players are reporting that they’re being abused for a strategic advantage. On the Pokemon Unite subreddit, users share accounts of enemies intentionally dying r༺ight before thဣe final two minutes, so they can take on Zapdos with next-to-no respawn times should they die. Many players say this is unfair, as they cannot defend Zapdos from t꧅he other team if they come back so soon after dying - and those in the lead have to wait significantly longer.
You Can Change Platform Mid Match
Some players noticed a neat little feature that not many seem to know about: you can actually change what platform 🌼you&ꦺrsquo;re playing mid-match. Apparently, one player was in a game when their wifi cut out. They launched Pokemon Unite on their phone (they had connected the accounts prior), and found they could pick up from where they left off. ꧙They didn’t even lose any Fair Play points, which you would usually do for leaving the match early via a disconnect. Of course, connecting your accounts does come with other benefits. For example, cross-progression means you can play Pokemon Unite almost anywhere, a🅠nd keep your rewards all in the same place.
The Bots Are Using NSFW Names
We already knew that the bots in Pokemon Unite were stealing our names, but it turns out there isn’t much mo💃deration on what names they’ll nick. Some of the best names spotted in matches against NPCs include "Nutinabutt", “Milfhunter69”, and "LucariosAss" - who was in fact playing Lucario. It’s interesting that these got past the profanity filters in the first place, let alone got picked up by the bots. So if you’ve got an✅ amusing username you’re somehow getting away with, your comedic genius might be getting appreciated when you’re not even online.
