Th♛is article will guide you with everything you need to know about completing this dungeon and its mechanics.
Temple Of Slaughter Dungeon Walkthrough
All players in the game unlock a number of higher-level dungeons after they have reached a character level 50 — Temple of Slaughter is one of them. Similar to other dungeons in the Dimensional Circle, the party size for this one is six players.
The overall party consists of one healer, four DPS members, and one tank.
The tank plays a key role in successfully progressing through this dungeon and the final boss fight. Make sure that an experienced player plays as the tank since they will play a s♏ignific꧃ant role in a successful raid.
After spawning, defeat the mobs in the hallway located on your right. Eliminating all mobs will lift the barrier on the left side of this hallway leading to a lower area where you can drop to progress further.
While there are only Ancient Dark Shamans and Monks on the upper level, the lower level has a lot more enemies which are relatively tougher (including an Ancient Dark Enforcer and Wizard). Make sure to drop at the farther end of the lower level with your party to avoid being targeted by mu𒈔ltiple enemies at the same time.
Once you are at the lower level with your party, eliminate the enemies here well to activate the Mana fluid Regulator, which will fill the space with Mana Fluid and lead you towards the next zone. You can skip through the next upper level and rush straight to the next Mana Fluid Regulator area on the opposite side.
How To Defeat the Ancient Berserk Shade Wizard
Once you activate the next Mana Fluid Regulator and defeat all the enemies on the third and last elevated platform, you must now glide over an area with fire pillars. Make sure to look out for the fire circles on the ground as the pillars spawn, because a single hit can end your glide and drop you to the ground, which can instantly deplete your health.
Once you are safely back on the ground, you now need to rush through the remaining part of the dungeon with your party members until you get to the final staircase.
In party matchmaking with random players, most party members are more inclined towards rushing through the dungeon without dealing with the smaller mobs. This makes it more time-efficient to farm dungeons for higher-level loot. Make sure to keep up with others, or you will be corne🐽red and eliminated by the enemies.
Here you must defeat the Ancient Berserk Shade Wizard to remove the final barrier in the doorway that leads to the﷽ mai🌱n boss room.
While the party approaches the Berserk Shade Wizard, the tank must pull all the remaining mobs away from the staircase, otherwise the entire party wiꦯll be overrun by the abundance of enemies.
The mini-boss has a number of simple attacks which can stun you instantly. This includes targeting pl𒁏ayers by using dark proje✨ctiles and area-of-effect (AOE) spells. Most spells can be easily countered by using your defense.
Make sure to keep a close eye on the ground, as most targeting spells will have a visual indicator about where the spell will land after it has been cast. Once the wizard is defeated, you will be allowed to move into the final boss room.
How To Defeat The Rex Chimaerus
After entering the boss' room, remember the locations of the four statues around the boss' area. It is ideal to have one player to have around each statue, but your party can also position themselves closer to make things easier for the healer.
The boss’s attack patterns are relatively simple and if you are attacking it from a range instead of targeting it from the front, there are three main attacks that you must be wary of. Here are the details of each of these attacks:
- Poison Circles: The serpent on the chimaerus’s tail will target the three farthest party members and shoot poison at them, which will affect the surrounding area with poison. Make sure to quickly get away from this area, or it can deal a large amount of damage.
- Fireball Hits: A random player in the party will be marked with a green beacon by the serpent. Once a player is marked, they will be attacked by the lion using three large fireballs.
- AOE Wipe: During the fight, you will see the following sentence on your screen: “Launch Piton will be Summoned”. After this text, you will see two levels of floating pitons above the arena which can be used to reach the chandelier above the boss to prevent its attack.
Being hit by all three fireballs results in certain death. To survive, the marked player must move away from the teammates and the tank must position themselves between the boss and the marked player. The tank or some other party member must absorb the first two fireballs.
In addition to interacting with the chandelier, two players must also release two of the chains that are attached to the statues to successfully stop the attack. Failing to complete this sequence will trigger a powerful AOE attack which can result in a team wipe.
Once the boss has been defeated, the dungeon will be complete, and you can claim your rewards in exchange for 300-dimensional contract tokens.
