The narrative makes for an interesting romp through the game, and the writing and voice acting is much improved from Borderlands 3. The cast is incredible, especially Will Arnet as the Dragon Lord and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ashly Burch as Tina. Probably the most frustrating aspects of ꧂the game, however, were ones that existed ൩in Wonderlands, but weren’t used as much as they could have been, like player choices.

7 The Menu

Wonderland’s menus, especially when it comes to the inventory scꩲreen, needs an overhaul. At the best of times, the menu is just okay, but at the worst of times the menu is clunky, poorly laid out, and hard to read.

The menus for Borderlands games have gone through their share of iterations as the series has gone on, with Borderlands 3 having the most legible menu by far. Wonderlands builds off of that menu without iterating on it much. While this is almost to be expected 🧜of a spinoff game, a greater overhaul of the game’s menus would have gone a long way.

6 🍸 The Map UI

A backstep from Borderlands 2 to Borderlands 3 was the map screen design. While the finer detail improved the map from previous games, the layered, three dimensional hologram of winding, overlap♌ping tunnels was not so great.

Wonderlands doesn’t do anything to address this, while making the levels even more winding and confusing to look at. The game could have no map at all, and it would almost be a better experience than trying to read and navigate the one in game. Improving the map, maybe even by going in a different direction akin to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Elden Ring’s map, would have been an excellent change.

5 Weapon Crafting 𓃲

Weapon crafting is a long deb♛ated topic, especially in looter-shooter games. It ranges from systems that are very light, only allowing for one or two weapon crafting-esque quests that will reward you a unique weapon, t꧑o sprawling systems that allow you to craft your unique version of whatever weapon you want.

A common pain🌃 point in looter shooters, and Borderlands games in general, is the amount of useless loot. Enemies explode with 50 items, but almost none of them are worth anyth𝐆ing. While weapon crafting may not be the solution, some way to target farm the specific weapon you would like, or even loot filters like ARPGs such as Path of Exile or Wolcen have, would decrease the amount of searching through useless loot and increase the enjoyment of seeing something you actually want pop out of a boss.

4 🌸 More Seriousness

The writing in Tiny Tina’s is great, and it&rs💎quo;s brought to the next level by some amazing voice talents. While Gearbox tends to be a bit more humorous in their games, and Wonderlands is no🌟 exception, this game’s more serious moments were some of its highlights.

There’s one moment in particular where one of Tina’s characters, Ksara, spontaneously combusts. Tina really liked this character, but Frette and Valentine didn’t trust her. In a brief moment of seriousness, Tina expresses that she’s worried if they didn’t like Ksara, a character she thought was super cool, then they probably don’t like Tina either. It’s a fleeting moment that’s resolved and played for laughs in pretty much the next line, but it’s memorable, and more moments like that could really bring out a side of Wonderlands 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:that is often overlooked. Reality.

3 𝕴 More Humor

Coming in ဣat the exact opposite of the last point, putting more humor in the game would make it vastly more enjoyable. The beginning of the main campaign was fine, and comically paced really well, but the later third or so felt very dry.

You may be wondering if there’s not enough seriousness, and not enough humor, then what else could there really be when it comes to dialogue and storytelling? Exposition. Wonderlands has lots of exposition dumps, ev♚en making the last major reveal an exposition dump, which comes across as kind of bland and overall not as shocking as it could have been. If more ofꦅ the exposition leaned toward humor or serious, then it would have been much better received.

2 🌺 Player Choices 🅘

For a game based on Dungeons & Dragons, Wonderlands has very little player choice. You could argue that the choice comes in the fact of🍨 whether or not you actually engage with the game and play through the quests and story, but that removes a vital part of what makes table-top role playing games so fun: player agency.

There are some moments here and there where you get to pick a dialogue choice or two, like which insult to say to the skeleton pirates of Bones Three-Woods former crew, but the game would have been vastly improved wit🎃h more of these options, especially towards the climax of the game. However, being built on Borderlands 3, a game without any RPG elements like dialogue options, it is a feature that is understandably, if not disappointingly, lacking.

1 ⭕ An Evil Campaign

Going along with player choice, Wonderlands would have benefited greatly from an evil campaign option. I’m sure Bunkers & Badasses has its own version 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:of character alignment, but you essentially only get to♔ play as Lawful Good, which is interes♉ting considering how chaotic Tina is.

It would have been nice to select what your alignment is from the start at the very least, or allow you to solve problems in an alignment specific way. Especially when it comes to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:defeating the Dragon Lord. You can’t say it wouldn’t have been awesome to make the c💮hoice at the very end to either redeem the 🦄Dragon Lord or take his throne.
