168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is filled with all the humor and crass jokes we ha📖ve come to expect out of the Borderlands. The game is also full of the run-and-gun a🎶ction that draws fans of the series back time and time again.
Though Tina's world is a spinoff of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Borderlands series, it has some interesting additions that set it apart from the previous titles. One such difference is that this game does not take place in the Borderlands of Pandora. Instead, it takes place in Tina's Wonderlands, a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dungeons & Dragons-inspired world of whimsy. The biggest change to this title, though, is the wild and wacky classes you can choose to play as. What's better than bullets? Magic bullets!
Updated April 29, 2023: We've updated this guide for readability and clarity, so you can make the best spellshot build in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands possible.
What Is The Spellshot Class?
Unlike other classes in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, the Spellshot class requires more precision and finesse in order to unlock its true potential.
The Spellshot is a class that requires some time to snowball to its true power. But once all the prerequisites have been met, this is one of the most powerful classes in the game.
That said, this class can only reach its true potential if you have a deep understanding of all the small mechanics working together to amplify damage.
Spellshots gain stacks of damage whenever they cast a spell, and whenever they reload. As you can imagine, both of these actions occur often, so Spellshots can quickly rack up lots ♈of 💜damage if built correctly.
Best Active Ability For Spellshot
Each class in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands has access to two Active Abilities. These powerful abilities can be cast like a spell, and then used continuously after a brief cooldown.
In the case of the Spellshot, you can choose between either the Polymorph skill or the Ambi-Hextrous skill.
Choosing one does not lock you out of the other. You can always cycle between Active Skills and choose a different one later.
Polymorph
The first skill you have access to is called Polymorph. This skill allows you to cast a spell at a chosen target that turns them into a helpless floating skeep for about ten seconds.
During this time, the enemy will still have the same amount of health, but they can be shot and killed before returning to their original, more shooty selves.
This Ability is helpful, as it can be used to turn even Badass enemies into skeep. The ability begins to fall short when encountering bosses though; they will only take a small amount of damage from Polymorph, and will not turn into skeep.
Ambi-Hextrous
The second Active Ability is called Ambi-Hextrous. This is by far the more useful of the two skills due to its synergy with the Spellshot's passive ability called Spellweaving 🐎(the ability mentioned above that grants more damage each time🌠 you reload or cast a spell).
Ambi-Hextrous allows you to equip a second spell in place of the Active Ability. In shorter terms, this means that with the Ambi-Hextrous trait, you can cast spells with almost no downtime between casts, and constantly stack Spellweaving.
Best Hero Skills For Spellshot
Each character has access to a total of three skill trees that they will gain points for throughout their adventure. You gain skill points that can be invested into the class tree, and the subclass tree. These two classes will be uniq🐷ue to the classes you choose.
The third tree is shared by every character, and this is the Hero Skill tree. These skills dictate the basic skills that determine the core stats of each character. They are responsible for the character's critical hit rate, overall health, and spell cooldown speeds.
These Hero Stats are gained one at a time, each time you go up a level. In order to maximize your damage output, you need to know where to invest these stats, and the Spellshot focuses on three main stats.
Skill Tree |
Effect |
Intelligence |
Determines your spell cooldown time. Since your character's damage is going to be tied to casting spells and reloading, you will want to make sure you are able to do all three as often as ꧅possible. |
Wisdom |
Increases the damage dealt by statuses. Since you will be casting spells constantly, status damage will be an important part of your build. Every spell deals some form of status damage, so every spell will benefit from this skill being high. |
Attunement |
Reduces your Action Skill cooldown, which will be tied to the cooldown speed of the extra spell you have equipped. If you have additional points, dump some into Constitution, as this increases your overall health🏅 and will be important later. |
Make sure to take either the Failed Monk or Rogue Alchemist background when creating a character. Both of these backgrounds give you an innate boost to Wisdom.
Best Subclassers For Spellshot
At the mid-point of the campaign, you gain access to a subclass where you can make any class in the game your secondary class. In order to maximize your damage, be sure to take the Graveborn class as your secondary class.
The Graveborn class adds a number of magical enhancements to your already magical build. The Graveborn's passive ability is that it summons a Demi-lich follower who will occasionally shoot Dark Magic at enemies.
He will also fire a homing bolt at enemies anytime you cast a spell. This magic missile mimics the spell you just cast. In other words, if you have an ice spell equipped, his shot w🤡ill be converted to ice damage and so on. If you have two spells equipped, he will mimic the spell that you most recently cast.
The follower shooting a mimicked missile does not count as a spell cast. This means it will not count towards Spellweaving stacks.
It can be used to gain passive damage though..
Additionally, Graveborns have access to increased effects from Dark Magic. This means more healing when you hit an enemy with Dark damage.
This little perk is useful for any build, but it will become critical for the Spellshot in the later stages of the game. With a certain ski🍸ll unlocked, Spellshots🤡 cannot restore wards overtime.
This means you will be playing with a broken ward almost all the time, and your health will be constantly exposed. It cannot be overemphasized how important Dark Magic is to this build.
How To Get The Damage Rolling
Spellshots and Graveborns have skill trees exclusive to them that harbor a number of damage-stacking synergies.
Spellshot Skills
First, let's take a look at the Skills you are going to want to max out in the Spellshot tree.
Skill |
Effect |
Magic Bullets |
A portion of all bonuses on spells is also applied to your guns. |
Font of Mana |
Lowers spell and Action Skill cooldown time with each level. |
Mage Armor |
Restores a portion of your ward anytime a stack of Spellweaving is gained. Casting a spell or reloading your gun will restore about ten percent of your ward. |
Glass Cannon |
Your ward can never recharge (except through Mage Armor) for the trade-off of drastically increased spell damage. |
Imbued Weapon |
Infuses bullets with whatever element was on the spell you just cast for a short time. |
High Thread Count |
Increases the maximum number of Spellweaving stacks. |
One Slot One Kill |
Further increases gun damage per Spellweaving stack. |
War Caster |
Gives you a chance to automatically reload you gun upon killing an enemy. Chance is increased based on Spellweaving stacks. |
Graveborn Skills
The Graveborn tree specializes in dealing Dark Magic damage. This class will be critical to your survivability as a Spellshot. After all, who needs a ward when 🐽all of your attacks refi🔯ll your health?
In order to get as muc💞h damage, 🐈and as much health leeching as possible, invest in the following skills.
Skill |
Effect |
Mortal Vessel |
Increases max health and leeching efficiency with each level. |
Essence Drain |
Causes spell cooldowns to be reduced when an enemy is killed. |
Faithful Thralls |
Increases damage for each companion you have. |
Sanguine Sacrament |
Restores some of your health every time you cast a spell. |
Lord of Edges |
Increases damage and damage reduction the lower your health goes. |
Ascension |
Increases spell damage and maximum health for a time after an enemy is killed. |
Stain of the Soul |
Makes it so that your spells deal extra Dark Magic damage. |
How To Use The Spellshot Skills
With other classes, you can simply invest in skills, pick up a few legendary guns, and brute force your way through each level. This is not the case with the Spellshot. You have to understand the core mechanics of the Spellshot, and how to offset the damage you will be taking while using this build.
As you may have guessed from the list of abilities above, Dark Magic will be your bread and butter for this build. Glass Cannon is going to make it so that your health is constantly under assault. As a result, you want both of your spells to be Dark Magic in nature. This serves multiple purposes.
- First, and most obvious, Dark Magic is going to refill your health, so having two sources of Dark Magic will help to ensure that your health stays high.
- Second, is that the Dark Magic school features a number of spells that will summon a companion when they are cast. Your damage is going to increase the more companions you have, and the Graveborn always has its passive companion flying around so you are already at an advantage there. Having only Death Magic spells will also ensure that the companion shoots dark magic, further refilling your health.
- Finally, the Imbued Weapon skill is going to ensure that all of your weapons also deal Dark damage, regardless of the listed elemental affinity.
All of these factors combined will ensure that you are maximizing your damage, and that you always have an incoming source of healing.
Best Weapons For Spellshot
Due to the inherent random nature of the Borderlands engine, we cannot point you to a specific gun, as there are no guaranteed drops.
Even so, there are certain weapon types that serve the Spellshot more that others. For example, your two main weapons will most likely be a pistol and a submachine gun. The small magazine size of the 𒅌former, and the fast rate-of-fire of the latter will ensure that your Spellweaving is stacked as fast as possible.
For your other two gun slots, consider a shotgun for close quarters combat and a fully automatic assault rifle for enemies that are a little further away.
Since you will often be reloading, try to get guns that are thrown and explode upon reloading for extra damage.
There are also going to be some bad choices for this build that you should stay away from at all costs. The primary example of a bad gun for this build is anything from the Skulldugger branch of weapons. This i🦩s because they cannot be reloaded at all, and instead overheat when fired too much.
Snipers will also be next to useless for this build, as they often shoot and reload slowly. A case could be made for grenade launchers on a case by case basis, but also don't waste your time on bazookas for this build either.
Best Gear To Grind For Spellshot
Paying ample visits to the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Chaos Chambers is highly recommended. This is because legendary loot is often dropped from these dungeons. There is a lot to consider though, as you fill your armor slot, two ring slots, and your amulet slots.
As far as rings and amulets go, you are looking for two main things. The first is spell cooldown rate. The more of this the better. Second is health regeneration.
Health regeneration items are fairly rare, so this buff can be substituted with gear that boosts spell damage, or spell critical hit rate.
For the armor slot, you are going to want to find anything that boosts the power of both Graveborn and Spellshots. Sometimes armꦏor can give an increase to companion damage as well, so if you can get something with all three, you are basically set for life.
As for spells, we mentioned above that you want Dark Magic that summons companions. That is already a specific order, but to push it even further, you ideally want Dark Magic spells that also have multiple charges.
These are typically found on Epic or Legendary tier spells, so always check if you see that one has dropped somewhere. Try to stay away from meteor spells and close quarters spells too. You want something with range and low cooldown times so you can fire off as many as possible ꧑as quickly as possible.
