There's been another update regarding the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Tomb Raider 2 fan remake - dubbed Tomb Raider: The Dagger of Xian - and it shows that the pro⛦ject is still humming along nicely, albeit quite slowl𒉰y.
Said update comprises a fres🅷h batch of screenshots (and pictured below) a few days ago, which depicts the la🌺test progress.
The aim is to recreate the entirety of the second Tomb Raider game (which was released way back in 1997) in HD using the Unreal Engine 4. It's an ambitious project to say the least, seeing as Tomb Raider 2 is undoubtedly one of the longstanding series' most massive games. It's also one of the most loved, having 🌌been cr⛎owned the .
One particularly dedicated fan based in France who goes by the name of Nicobass is heading up this init🌊iative. By his side is a , plus a handful of QA testers, who are undertaking the endeavor purely out of their love for the original game. As far as we can tell, they've been at it sin💃ce at least 2016.
So as with any purely fan-led initiative of this kind, things take time. The team has been careful not to put any end-date on The Dagger of Xian, obviously because there's never any guarantee such an ambitious undertaking could ever be completed. But just when one starts giving up hope, along come some new tantalizing screenshots of Lara Croft in her quintessential Tomb Raider 2-era Croft Manor sports tracksuit (but gorg♓eously HD-ified) to remind us the team is still at i🤪t.
Oh, and by the way, you can play through a demo of Dagger of Xian right now for free (downloadable via the ), which includes a portion of the game's first level that's set on and around the Great Wall of Chin🥀a. It's absolutely worth a playthrough, especially if you want to take in some truly beautiful eye candy and/or if you're looking to be hit right in The Nostalgia.
While we have no idea when/if we'll be getting our mitts on a full game, that perhaps we can at least expect a "technical update of t♍he previous demo (with photo mode)."
