Tomb Raider I and its remake, Tomb Raider: Anniversary, s𝔍how Lara’s big debut into the video game world. In both endings, she defeats Natla, th♐e primary antagonist, and narrowly escapes as the volcano explodes. You get your last look at her as she drives a boat, leaving the past behind her.
It’s an epic ending for Croft with a𝕴 fiery backdrop. Despite setting the stage for the iconic games to come, the ending is definitely one of the more generic finales in the series.
10 🌠 Tomb Raider I♛II
Similar to Tomb Raider I and Anniversary, Tomb Raider III ends with Lara rushing away from th🅷e destruction of the final boss, but this time she doesn&rsq👍uo;t get an uninterrupted escape. Even in the very last moments of the game, Lara is fighting her way out of Antarctica.
She kills a pilot, steals a helicopter, and is quickly confronted by enemy fire. She, of course, destroys the enemy’s helicopter and escapes. It’s intense from beginning to end, but for a Tomb Raider ending, it's easily forgettable.
9 💜 Tomb Raider: The Angel Of Darkness

Chronicles may be one of the more lackluster installments of the series, but its ending stands out against others because of🀅 its implications. This entry is the fifth game in the series, foꦚllowing Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation.
Because Lara﷽ seemingly dies at the end of the prior game, the majority of Chronicles is in Memoriam of Croft. But at the very end of the game, you play Lara in the pres🗹ent day, implying that she’s very much alive. Finishing the story off is a shot of Werner VonCroy finding her iconic backpack.
7 Rise Of The Tomb🥂 Raider
Rise of the Tomb Raider, the 11th game, follows Lara af⛦ter the trauma she experienced in Yamatai. You get to play ♊as a more experienced Croft as she attempts to stop Trinity from assuming world-changing power.
When the game ends, Lara has prevented Trinity from achieving their goals. After this, the story cuts to Lara in her father’s office, preparing for her next journey. It’s exciting in the sense that you know another entry is coming, but the ending itself could’ve been bette🔯r.
6 ꦏ Tomb Raider: Underworld
In the final game of the first reboot trilogy, Lara is searching for her 🍸mother and ends up recovering artifacts of Norsღe mythology. As the title suggests, Lara travels to the underworld to find her mother, but she ultimately doesn’t find her.
Lara finally comes to terms with the loss, allowing closure for her and you as the player. It 🐟may not have been the ending she was hoping for, but at least she has the answers she’s been seeking since Tomb Raider: Legend.

While in Mexico, Lara accidentally triggers a potential apocalypse and spends the game attempting to prevent it in Peru. Inཧ the end, Lara stops the apocalypse from happening and returns to Paititi, a fictional village where you spen🧸d a large portion of the game.
Like Underworld did back in the day, Shadow wraps up the story of the latest trilogy and sees Lara shift into a new era. Soon after, the game cuts to Lara in her office with her bu♑tler Winston from previous entries. The ending suggests that the next Tomb Raider title will unify the timeline of the entire series.
4 Tomb Raider: The L🐈ast Revelation
Perhaps one of the most famous installments in the series, The Last Revelation ends with what app🍬ears to be a cliffhanger. You see Lara holding onto a ledge with her former mentor’s hand extended toward her. The tomb then collapses with VonCroy walking away without Lara.
While some f♚ans perceived this to be a cliffhanger, others believed Lara to be dead. And, she sort of was. The developers were ready to put the series to rest but quickly decided to continue Lara’s story for the fans.

Thไis is the first game where you really get to see Lara express some emotion. After a full game of globetrotting and seeking answers about her missing mother, you defeat Amanda, Lara’s thought-to-be dead friend.
Lara is fed up 𝓰at this point. She wants to know where her mother is, and she believes Amanda knows of her whereabouts. Amanda is angry with Lara for defeating her, but she doesn’t get the last word. Lara scares her into providing information, knocks her unconscious, and walks off.
2 😼 Tomb Raider (2013)
Tomb Raider is rebooted again in 2013, introducing a Lara who’s virtually unrecognizable. She’s younger, she has little to no combat training or in dual♎ pistols, she’s wearing pants, and she is thrown into a modꦆern take of the genre.
Although it’s different from what🐲 you may be used to, the end of the game shows Lara becoming the Tomb Raider, briefly using dual pistols, saving her best friend, and leav﷽ing Yamatai safely. Hearing the score, accompanied by Lara’s monologue, and watching Lara leave the island behind her is the most moving ending in the series.
