Over three years since the last 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Tomb Raider film, we finally have news on a sequel. The next film, g♉oing by the working title “Tomb Raider: 💯Obsidian”, is getting closer to starting production, with the first draft of the script finished.

Misha Green, best known as the showrunner of Lovecraft Country, shared the news on her Twitter page, showing the f🌠irst draft of the script alongside the current working title. Green was previously confirmed as the sequel’s writer 🦋and director, taking over from Roar Uthaug who directed the last film.

Green’s tweet suggests we won’t hear much about the film for a while still, as this is just first draft. The title Tom🐼b Raider: Obsidian is ജstill yet to be approved.

The sequel appears to have had a somewhat disruptive development. Writer and director Ben Wheatley was previously announced for the project, but later pulled out to work on the sequel to 2018’s The Meg. Further still, Tomb Raider 2 was actually 💝meant to already be with us, as it had originally been scheduled for a March 2021 release. Whatever version we were meant to have gotten has seemingly been scrapped however, as two months after the initial release date, we’ve just got a working title and a first draft of a script.

Green has previously spoken of her love for the Tomb Raider games. Back in January when she first announced her involvement with the project, she that her favourite classic Lara game was Tomb Raider: Legend, whereas out of the later games it would be a tie between Rise of the Tomb Raider and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

The last Tomb Raider film was released in 2018, and stars Alicia Vikander in the titular role. Sh🌼e’s set to the return in the sequel, that was previously delayed indefinitely due 🎉to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Filming is yet to kick off, but is planned to take place in locations across England and China.
