Are you looking for the best and most cost-effective units for your 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Total War Warhammer 3 Kislev campa♛ign? Then look no further! After thoroughly analyzing all 19 Kislev units in both campaign and custom battles, and on various difficulties, they were compiled into this tier list.
From the S-Tier (superb) to the C-Tier (not r🐈ecommended), you can use this a🍌s a guide when building the perfect army to overcome the realms of Chaos. Or to defend against some nasty Ogres or Grand Cathay, if you end up in a conflict with them.
S-Tier
Streltsi: This 'Gun-Greataxe Infantry' unit (yes, you read that right) perfectly exemplifies the strength of Kislev. They are comparable to the handgunners and thunderers from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Total War Warhammer 2, but with better survivabi🐟lity in melee. The units in the back will even keep shooting while th💧e front engages the enemy with their axes.
War Bear Riders: Cavalry units in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Total War games typically require a lot of micromanagement and are outperformed by missile units and infantry. However, the War Bear Riders perform well in sustained combat against enemy cavalry and monsters, which means that they do not require♍ much micromanagement at all. Think of this unit as demigryph knights (halberds), but with better surv♊ivability.
Elemental Bear: This unit mainly shines if you play as Boris Ursus, who you need to unlock through the campaign first. Boris has a special ability where all Elemental Bears regenerate their health during combat, which catapults this unit into S-tier for the campaign. Without Boris or in multiplayer battle꧂s, this unit drops one or two tiers though.
A-Tier
Ice Guard (Swords): This is the best missile unit of Kislev, with a nice slow-down effect from their arrows. Deploy them in a checkerboard formation, turn off skirmish mode, turn off guard mode, andꩲ go grab a cup of coffee while these guys (or actually, women!) win the battle for you.
Kossars: This is a cheap unit that is also very cost-effective, especially on higher difficulties. Compared to the peasant archers of Grand Cathay, Kossars are better in melee🌺 and deal more armor-piercing damage. Just like the Ice Guard, employ them in a checkerboard formation.
Little Grom: The one danger of artillery is that they can get caught by enemy cavalry or flying monsters if you are not paying attention. However, Little Grom is a cannon pulled by two bears, so it is surprisingly sturdy in melee. So, this unit deserves a spot in your army. You can snipe enemy monsters with it with re𝓡markable accuracy, without needing a unit in reserve as protection.
Light War Sleds: This unit is what the War Wagon in Warhammer 2 should have been. It is the perfect kiting unit, with enough ammuni💯tion so that you will never run out. It deals high armor-piercing damage with a bonus against infantry. The speed is high enough that you can evade most enem✨y cavalry units. If you enjoy kiting, this will be your new favorite tool.
Armoured Kossars: This is a straight upgrade from Kossars, with better melee stats and a very good shield to soak up enemy arrows. When you have built up a decent economy꧟ in the campaign, it might be time to upgradꦛe your Kossars to their armored counterparts.
Tzar Guard: This is an upgrade from Armoured Kossars. They lose their ranged weapon but gain much higher melee defense in return. When you are flowing in cash, ge൩t rid of your Armoured Kossars and recruit the Tzar Guard instead.
Gryphon Legion: Compared to the Winged Lancౠers, the Gryphon Legion sacrifices a bit of speed, but they are better all around. They are more effective in a protracted melee, although they still work best with cycle charging.
B-Tier
Ice Guards (Glaives): Th♋is unit is very similar to the Ice Guards (Swords) variant a𒀰nd is equally powerful at range. However, in melee, they fill a niche role and are mainly good against large entities. Being less useful overall, they are rated one tier lower.
Tzar Guard (Great Weapons): Even though this is the strongest infantry unit in the Kislev roster, you sacrifice a lot of defensibility compared to the Tzar Guard unit with shields. So, as a frontline unit, you are better off picking the Tzar Guard without great weapons. You can opt to use this uꦏnit for flanking maneuvers, but why not use cavalry or Streltsi instead?
Kossars (Spears): This unit is comparable to normal Kossars, but is more specialized due to their spears. Just like the Ice Guards (Glaives), you sacrifice flexibility in all situations for a niche role🤪. Unless you expect to face a lot of large units, which seems unlikely in the early campaign, it is better to stick with normal Kossars.
Winged Lancers: This is not a bad unit in the early campaign, since they are both fast and cheap, but they are made obsolete as soon as you are abl🍒e to recruit the Gryphon Legion. The health, melee attack, and🌟 melee defense stats of the Winged Lancers simply do not compare.
Snow Leopard: At first glance, this was a straight candidate for the C-tier, but the 💎Snow Leopard can be surprisingly useful to attack and kill enemy wizards. This (barely) brings it to the B-Tꦓier.
Horse Archers: This is a♈ very cheap unit that is useful in the early campaign for kiting until you can field Light War Sleds.
Heavy War Sleds: Compared to Light War Sleds, you get the same missile da🏅mage, but trade speed for a slightly better cꩲharge bonus and more armor. This increases the chance of enemy cavalry catching up to you, so the Light War Sled is better for kiting enemy units.
C-Tier
Kossovite Dervishes: The cheapest cavalry of Kislev, this unit is incredibly fragile. It can🅠 be useful in the early campaign at best, to chase down routing units. But even then, it should be replaced as soon as possible by Winged Lancers, the Gryphon Legion, or even the Snow Leopard.
Armoured Kossars (Great Weapons): Compared to the Armoured Kossars, you trade far too much defensibility fo🎶r great weapons that offer no special bonuses whatsoever. Therefore, if you want infantry with great weapons, just go straight for the Tzar Guard instead.
