You're about to spend a lot of time in the training room of Floatia, picking out the best stats in which to pump energy. This training scheme offers a nice way to personalise how your Digimon grow, but also how they Digivolve through rebirth. It's time to pump up those numbers.

Training Room

Unlike other companion RPGs, the path to levelling up your monsters is not only fraught with battles. Of course, fighting enemies out in the field does grant XP and items, but your Digimon growth will come, primarily, from the Floatia training room. The training room is a console that allows you to choose certain stats to train for each Digimon.

You have two Digimon icons that you can move around the stats, allowing you to train separate stats if needed. For example, you can train one Digimon in STR (strength) and the other in WIS (wisdom). Or you can rest one, while the other pushes forward on a stat. This is key to developing a pair of monsters who can compliment each other. Choose your stats for balance; for example, if one Digimon is lacking 🅘in MP, while the other has low health, make su❀re to split their training to create a better balance.

Eat And Rest

Periodically your Digimon will stop and request a break. Often this is for food, but also for a rest on the beds next to the training console. Resting will replenish the energy used up in training, while also topping up any HP or MP you might have been missing when you started. There is also a toilet nearby, so no accidents will occur while working out. If you stick to five sessions followed by a rest, then back to the training, you'll create a happy, strong Digimon.

If you push your Digimon past their energy threshold their relationship with you will begin to fall impacting battles a🎀nd digivolutions.

Roulette Bonus

Digimon World: Next Order training roulette wheel with bonus icons

After selecting the stats you'd like to improve, you're presented with a roulette wheel which grants a bonus batch of XP for your chosen stat. The game explains that a bonus square is worth 1.25x, but what you might not realise is that every bonus, whether it's gained through food or 'time of day', is always the same. If you land on a heart, it's the same 1.25x as landing on a food icon.

The trick is to have as many icon blocks filled out on the wheel as possible, as this will ensure you're going to land on a bonus. You can gain a bonus square from any of the following, and many of these will stack:

  • Buddy - Set Digimon on neighbouring gear
  • Rival - Set Digimon on opposite gear
  • Day - Gear gains bonuses on certain days (excluding Sunday)
  • Time - Each Digimon thrives at particular times
  • Growth Spurt - If your Digimon are different generations, the younger gets a bonus
  • Mood - If your Digimon's mood is over 80, you'll receive a bonus
  • Skill - Unlocked through Tamer skills
  • Food - Many food items bestow bonuses to particular stats
