Time looping adventure game 12 Minutes was one of the most anticipated titles of the year at one point, which is easy to understand. The voice cast of James McAvoy, Daisy Ridley, and Willem Dafoe were already making waves, and the promise of a good story was hard to resist. However, upon release, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:12 Minutes ended up dividing gamers down the line. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Some people loved the story ꦑand i🥀ts bold approach, while others hated the gameplay loop and all th𝕴e frus💫trations it piled onto the experience.
While 12 Minutes can def💖initely be commended for its ambition, the execution does leave a lot to be desired. Most things make no sense in the game, even considering the nature of the narrative. Spoilers lay ahead as we explore are some of the most egregious offenders.
7 How Did The Husband Just Forget His Involvement? 🐈
The plot of 12 Minutes revolves around a hitman who breaks into the house of the protagonist, hunting down his wife who killed her father a long time ago. Throughout the game, you - playing as the husband - must figure out clues and deduce that while your wife did shoot her father, he didn't die until later during New Year's Eve.
It turns out that it was actually the husband (ie you) who shot the father during a scuffle. If this is really the case, then it's quite odd that your character has no recollection of this fact. While it's true that severe trauma can make people repress and forget certain troubling memories, it still seems far-fetched that he would have no clue at all that he committed murder.
6 How Was The Dad Okay After Getting Shot By His Daughter🅠?
Getting shot is a pretty major thing to go through so it's no surprise that the father is dead, given the fact that he was shot twice in the game's event. However, while you do witness the second time that he gets shot, there's no explanation given as to how the father was absolutely fine just a few days after getting shot the first time by his daughter.
After all, the father should've at least been resting at home in bed surely, even if he wasn't admitted to the hospital? For him to initiate another tense faceoff with the husband that results in his demise sounds like a stretch. Surely this chain of events could not have been possible given his physical condition?
5 Why Is The Wife So Secretive Abou♚⛄t Her Past?
While the characters of 12 Minutes are quite intriguing when they're introduced, they quickly become tedious to interact with after a point. This ends up highlighting some of their glaring flaws, with the wife being especially annoying in places. There's a certain watch that you need to secure to deal with the "cop". However, the wife will simply be stubborn and not reveal the location or significance of the watch at all, and you have to take a longer and more annoying route to figure out its location.
This isn't the only part where the wife ends up being unnecessarily secretive. Her past is critical to uncovering the mystery of 12 Minutes, yet she refuses to answer to the love of her life and even storms out if she feels like there are simply too many questions being thrown her way.
4 How Does The Hi♉tman Always Find The Wife, Even If She Storms Out
As mentioned before, there are times in the game when the wife will get angry and storm out of the house if you become aggressive while trying to glean some information out of her. Most people would assume that she's left the building and is out for a walk or something around the same lines.
However, it turns out that the wife was just hanging out in the hallway, given the conversation she has with the cop before being dragged back into the apartment. While she might've been upset after the conversation, surely she would spend her time mulling about somewhere else instead of just standing aimlessly outside the house?
3 Why Is Getting Your Spouse Beat Up The Only Way To Access Ce🌳rtain Info💜rmation?
There's no denying the fact that 12 Minutes was going to feature some violence, which is understandable. However, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:over the course of the game, you will have to put your꧂ wife throug🌼h some horrifying events to finally figure out the solution to certain puzzles.
Watching the intruder break in and hit her over and over again can be quite a hard pill to swallow. If that wasn't bad enough as is, then you can also put their wife through some additional tough and jarring ordeals as well.
2 How Did The Husband Kill The Father When He Was Wꦺith His Future Wife During New Years Eve?
According to the cop/father, it turns out that the protagonist actually killed his father/father-in-law around New Years Eve before meeting and falling in love with his future wife. Unfortunately,🐠 this sequence of events is riddled with holes.
It's hard to believe that the husband killed the father then ran all the way to the same town where his future wife was also hiding out. It feels like a contrived series of events that are meant solely for the purposes of generating intrigue as opposed to actually forming a great mystery that players will have a great time unraveling.
It's a shame, since the plot of 12 Minutes is its mos🌳t important aspect... and yet, it's nowhere near as coherent as the game would lead you to believe.
1 Why Does The Father Shame The Husband When He's Ultimately The One To Blame?
After forcing the player through hours of torture, 168澳洲幸运𒉰5开奖网:the game finally reveals the truth at the end - the husband is actually also the son of the wife's father, who had an affair with his nanny. That means that he's the half-brother of his wife, which basically means that their relationship is incestuous.
While this twist is pretty bold, it's the reaction of the father that makes no sense here. He ends up blaming the husband for all of this... even though he was the one who had the affair in the first place! Surely the son isn't to blame for his father's actions?
