Ubisoft CEO Yve🗹s Guillemot has addressed allegations of misco📖nduct swirling around the company, promising change.
Guillemot recently made a statement in a video posted on YouTube. He begins by acknowledging t🤪hat Ubisoft Forward is꧃ due to air tonight, September 10, and will feature new looks at a variety of its upcoming games. Guillemot says that the event is going forward, but that he has something else to say prior to it.

"I'd like to say a few words about internal issues that have come to light recently," Guillemot sa𒊎ys. "This summer, we learned that certain Ubisoft employees did not uphold our company's values, and that our systems failed to protect the victims of their behavior."
It's importan🅠t to note that the issues did not come to light recently - , they just weren't addressed until they were in the public eye.
"I am truly sorry to everyone who was hurt," Guillemot con🐠tinues. "We have taken significant steps to remove or sanction those who violated our values and code of conduct, and we are working hardﷺ to improve our systems and processes."
Guillemot doesn't mention how the company is improving it💫s systems and processes, but the steps to remove or sanction those who had allegations made against them likely refers to employees who have resigned or been fired over the last few months.
Two senior creatives were 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:suspended in mid-June following claims of misconduct made against them, while 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:three ꦓmore employees resigned 𓃲several weeks later. Since then 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ubisoft's PR director has been fired, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:another exec has resigned, and the Assassin's C♍reed 🔴Valhalla director has been kicked off the project.
Guillemot notes that the company is also focused on improving diversity and inclusivity, and will inv൩est an additional $1 million into its graduate program in order to create opportunities for underrepresented groups in the industry.
"We are at the start of a long journey," Guillemot says. "Real change will take time, but I am determined to do♓ everything in my power to ensure everyone at Ubisoft feels welcome, respected, and safe, and to rebuild the trust out teams, fans, and players have in us."
Guillemot also addresses the recent controversy surrounding its mobile game, El⛎ite Squad, which depicted a Black Power fist as a symbol for an orgꦦanization instigating societal unrest.
"This kind of oversight cannot happen," Guillemot said. "We are putting safeguards in place to prevent it in the future." Like the systems and processes apparently being implemented to prevent further 🎐misconduct, these safeguards were not described in detail.
"We condemn anyone using our games as a proxy for hate or toxicity," says Guillemot. "We fully support the Black Lives Matter movement and today we are making an additional donation🎃 to the NAACP legal defense fund."
"I'm fully committed to leading the change at Ubisoft," Guillemot conclu👍des, "and to ensuring we always🌠 uphold and exemplify our core values in the company, the industry, the community, and our games."
