168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Metal Gear has always been a cinematic-heavy franchise, but that cutscene-filled gameplay really came into its own with Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. The first 15 minutes were more like a movie than a game, with credits rolling alongside dynamic camera angles showcasing Sol🧜id Snake’s descent onto a fog-covered container ship. It even got a James Bond movie-style intro.
That sort of homage to action films gained Metal Gear millions of fans around the world, including German developer and artist Erasmus Brosdau. You might remember Brosdau from a few years ago when he remade th♒e first Metal Gear So🌄lid intro in Unreal Engine 4. Now he’s back to remake the Metal 🔯Gear Solid 2 into in Unreal Engine 5. At this rate, he’ll hit Meta💜l Gear Solid 3 by the time Unreal Engine 6 rolls around.
Brosdau isn't quite done, but he did share a five-second clip on Twitter showing Solid Snake's bungee jump onto the deck of the USS Discovery. In the game, Snake's optical camouflage fails upon impact in a shower of sparks. Brosdau's version seems to be lacking the same fireworks, but it's still very much a work in progress.
Hideo Kojima retweeted Brosdau's video, which is probably about as much approval as any Metal Gear fan could hope for.
From Metal Gear Solid 2 to The Elder Scrolls V, Unreal Engine 5 seems ideal at remaking these classic games. Environment artist Christian Gomm recently posted a tour of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Skyrim's Riverwood remade in UE5. What you're looking at is no mere graphical mod. Everything has been remade in UE5 through photogrammetry, which basically scans the environment from Bethesda's RPG and translates it into Unreal. Then a few trees here, a few aftermarket assets there, and you've got what Skyrim might look like if it were remade for the… um, fifth time? I’ve honestly lost count.
