Now that has been out a few weeks fans of the series ha෴ve had a good chance to get to grips with the new mechanics and updates to its combat system. The huge roster of fighters has been updated with new fighters, the stats adjusted accordingly for the most part, and there are brand new arenas.
EA supported 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:UFC 3 long after its initial release and it was a much better game long after its launch and the developers have promised the same kind of support for this title. While there some definite steps to make UFC 4 a better and more approachable title than its predecessor, there are some things that are still missing from this e💃ntry.
10 ꩲ Better: Movement Is More Flu💦id
Fighter movement has definitely seen an improvement in UFC 4, it feels more natural getting in and out of an exchange. Using the lunge feature by pressing L1 (LB) and the right analog stick is a nice addition to the game as one can gain an advantage during an 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:incoming flurry of strikes.
Head movement and shelling up Floyd Mayweather style has also seen quite a bit of improvement in a way that looks and feels similar to the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fight Night series.💦 As a result, it’s easier to slip punches and fight from inside the pocket.
9 Worse: The Ragd⛄oll Knockdowns
The knockdowns in UFC 4 aren’t terrible by any stretch of the imagination. It’s still as satisfying and as entertaining as it was to catch an opponent with a flash knockout. However, the animations for the knockouts are too s💞🎀imilar.
In UFC 3, the game implemented ragdoll physics which added a great s💖ense of realism and a lot of entertainment value to these🐷 events. Unfortunately, it seems highly unlikely that the ragdoll physics will return but it’s a feature that’s definitely missed.
8 ✤ Better: The Submission System 🍒
One area where many gamers struggled in the previous games was 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the submission system. It took quite a long to time get to grips with and wasn’t gꦺreat for gamers that just wanted to jump into an MMA bout.
Now, the submission system functions very similarly to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:UFC Undisputed 3 and to some extent with a circular bar chasing animat𓄧ion for chokes using the right analog stick or a smaller bar for joint submissions where the player has to use L2 and R2 (LT and RT) to escape or ⛦lock it in.
7 Worse: Blocking Is Too Weꦉak ꦍ
In addition to being unable to defend against a fighter that charges in throwing heavy punches with little to no risk, the defending player’s block is far too weak in this entry. In UFC 4 it only takes around two straight punches folꦕlowed by two🥃 hooks before the guard is completely broken.
As a result, this can be🍰 a nightmare for counter punchers and it makes it near impossible to defend when they are caught in a ♉flurry of punches.
6 Better: Cuts🔯, Bruises and Blood Look Better
Considering the mixed martial arts is a very brutal sport, one would expect that a game set on realism would have tried to emulate the facial damage in a more convincing manner. Thankfully, in UFC 4 the blood and cut effects look much better th🍰an the previous entrie♈s.
The cuts look more realistic, the bloodstains on the mat, the fighter’s bodies, and the bruising which develops over a fighter’s legs and ribs look excellent. There’s still some work to be done because it still lacks the realistic facial swelling that was in UFC Undisputed 3 but it’s a step in the right direction.
5 Worse: Elbows On The Ground Are Missing 🥂
In addition to not having the clinch denies in EA’s UFC 4, the game is also missing the elbows on the ground which is a major feature when it comes to the ground and pound which is key 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:for the best wrestlers in real life. Again, this is something that can be addressed in a future patch but it seems strange that they are in UFC 3 which sti♒ll has a very active community due to the gameplay differences between both games.
Adding in elbows for the ground anꦐd pound would be great for adding an extra layer of immersion and a new way of♒ opening up cuts on an opponent.
4 Better: The Career Mode ♒
The Career mode in UFC 4 has seen a lot of improvement since its previous outings. This time UFC 4’s career 🥂mode feels more dynamic as certain moves are developed and leveled up in the cage.
In addition, rivalries and friendships can be created as players can invite new training partners to the gym to learn new move🦄s. Alternatively, instead of forming a friendship, players can start a rivalry and earn a big pay-per-view pay off generated by the social media hype leading up to the fight.
3 ﷺ Worse: Cli♏nch Denies Are Missing
The clinch has always been a powerful weapon in EA’s UFC games as it is in real life. However, in UFC 3 players were still able to deny a clinch or break away when they are caught in it. Unfortunately, no such feature exists yet in UFC 4 which🌳 means that players are endlessly being caught in a clinch which is often followed by an unblockable uppercut.
There is a good chance that EA will address this in a future patch as they have already made efforts to improve the game in several ways. A way to grappl♓e out of it and/or deny it is a must.
2 Bette༺r: The Online Messaging ꩲSystem
There will෴ be many fans that won’t agree that having voice communication switched is a good thing. However, not hearing another voice allows players to concentrate on their fights and strategies properly.
More importantly, the game’s new built-in messaging system prevents abusive players from screaming obscenities into their mics where🔥 anything and everything can be said. This is great for a younger audience and encourages a more respectful way of communication between its players.
1 Worse: Not Enough Of A Stamina Tax For Pressure Figꦇht♔ing
Some of the most difficult fighters to defend against are the pressure fighters that come out all guns blazing and spamming hooks💜 and straights unt𓂃il the player’s guard breaks leaving them open to massive head damage and an early knockout.
This was something that was in issue with UFC 3 until it was patched so that when players came charging in throwing hooks and haymakers their stamina would drain accordingly. In UFC 4, this issue has reappeared a🐭nd needs to be addressed again by the developers.
