Every character has a special skill unique to them, and this can be seen on their profile. This unique skill is generally referred to as the ultimate, and it even has a level assigned to it. If you meet specific conditions, you can upgrade this level🃏 and make the skill better.
How To Improve Your Ultimate
There are mainly two ways to increase the level of your ultimate in Umamusume: Pretty Derby, with one being a permanent method and the other temporary. The permanent method com🌟es fro♓m the number of stars your character has. When you first pull a character, they can range from one to three stars.
However, you can upgrade every Uma to five stars once you get enough copies. The first star of the character gets you an ultimate and the second star upgrades it to level two. However, when you reach three star🐼s, you'll get a different name for your ultimate, which will once again be at level one.
You can upgrade this second ultimate up to level three permanently by reaching five stars on the character.
Alternatively, you can also temporarily upgrade your character's ultimate by reaching a certain number of fans in the Senior Yeaಞr of your career. This happens three times: February, April, aꦅnd October. You have to reach 60,000, 70,000, and 120,000 fans to trigger the upgrade in these respective months in your final year.
How To Use Your Ultimate
If you've been playing Umamusume: Pretty Derby for a bit, you likely already realize that you can't manually trigger any skill during a race. It has a random chance of triggering when the conditions are met, and the same is the case with the ultimate. However, you can increase its trigger chances by upgrading your Wit stat.
In the career mode, you need about 300-400 Wit to nearly guarantee your skill and ultimate triggers at the right time. However, if you're building a character for PvP, you'll require much higher Wit 🦂since you'll be competing against very high-level characters.
