It should be stated immediately that ClayFighter: Sculptor's Cut is not known for being a good game. The N64 was never the best console for fighting games, but it still received ports of popular titles like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mortal Kombat and exclusives like ClayFighter.
This grotesque brawler should be added to Nintendo Switch Online because ClayFighter: Sculptor's Cut is one of the rarest N64 games out there, and its cartridge alone is worth roughly $1,000. It was a Blockbuster exclusive, and once they shut down, the 20,000 copies of the game were either lost to time or kept in a display case somewhere. It wouldn't be the most exciting N64 game, but it's a fascinating piece of history that should be preserved on the Nintendo Switch.

Like Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Castlevania was another iconic series that decided to make the transition to 3D to stay relevant on modern hardware. The first 3D Castlevania was exclusive to the N64. While it's not the most popular entry in the series, it still contains some unforgettable boss battles and a gloomy atmospheꦺre reminiscent of its predecessors.
Most of the older Castlevania titles are available on the Nintendo Switch in bundles like the Castlevania Anniversary Collection, but Castlevania 64 hasn't been re-released since it first launched. It can be a slow burn at times, but the game provides a unique challenge that can easily be completed with the Suspend Point feature.

Once 3D visuals took over the gaming industry, every iconic mascot from the 80s was making the transition, for better or worse. Characters like Pac-Man struggled to make the adaptation w𓃲ork, but once Bomberman made his 3D debut on the N64, it seemed like he might be one of the few to actually thrive in this new dimension.
As you can tell by the lack of modern Bomberman games, it ultimately didn't work out well. But both of his adventures on the N64 still contain the charming gameplay and wonderful music that hinted at a possibly bright future for the franchise. The first game contains a solid story with excellent stages, while its sequel introduces the adorable Pommy, who can be played by another person for a co-op adventure.

There were a handful of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Star Wars games for the N64, including Shadows of the Empire and Battle for Naboo, but Rogue Squadron went above and beyond to create an immersive experience with riveting gameplay and level design. Everything from the sound design to the visuals works together to make you feel like you're in a lost Star Wars movie.

We're ranking the best Star Wars games 🐎you can play on the Nintendo Switch.
Rogue Squadron ended up being one of the best-selling games on the N64 and eventually had two sequels on the GameCube - Rogue Leader and Rebel Strike. It's more likely to see a re-release of Rogue Squadron with a price tag attached to it like Star Wars Episode I Racer, but an appearance on Nintendo Switch Online would be better than blowing up a Death Star.

On a console full of three-dimensional adventures like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Banjo-Kazooie or Glover, Mischief Makers stands out as one of the few 2D side-scrolling platformers on the unit. It may be more linear than other N64 games, but Mischief Makers is an underrated gem that deserves attention, especially if you like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Donkey Kong Country or Wario Land.
Developed by the same team behind Sin and Punishment, Mischief Makers follows a robot named Marina attempting to save her creator from a planet on the brink of civil war. Her mobility is excellent, and once you get used to the controls, you won't want to stop playing until you complete the final level.

Unlike other mascots like Mario and Pac-Man, Rayman had only appeared in one 2D platforming game before 3D technology took over the industry. That could be one of the reasons Rayman had one of the smoothest transitions to the new era compared to others. Without a long history of 2D platformers behind it, the series pivoted to th﷽e next generation flawlessly with Rayman 2: The Great Escape.
While it's often overshadowed by juggernauts like Super Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie, Rayman 2 offers the same amount of effortless fun as the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:best 3D platformers available today. It's a bit more linear than other N64 games, but its unique aesthetic and heartfelt story help make it one of the best platformers from its era.

January 10th, 2001 |
Genre |
Action-Adventure |
Number of Players |
Single-Player |
Mega Man is another NES-era character that initially found success with his 3D debut with a well-written story and fun world to explore. Mega Man 64 is a port of Mega Man Legends, and both games found clever ways to adapt the series' 2D platforming into a marvelous action-adventure game with tough bosses and shocking twists throughout.
One of the elements that make Mega Man 64 unique is its stellar cast of characters. Mega Man is an archaeo🉐log𝓀ist and works alongside Barrel and Roll Caskett and a robotic monkey named Data. The fondness this crew has for each other resonates through the screen, and the game does a great job of making them likable. The villains - The Bonne family - are the exact opposite and disagree about everything, usually to their own detriment.

168澳洲幸运5开奖网: 9 Best Mo🦩dern N64 Inspired 🐼Platformers
The N64 was home to some of the best 3D platformers of all time. Deca💟des later, these are 𝓀the games trying to recreate that magic
It still feels like a strange decision in hindsight, but StarCraft was eventually ported to the N64 with content from its Brood War expansion and even a few exclusive missions. It didn't run particularly well on the hardware, and you needed to own an Expansion Pak just to play split-screen co-op with a friend. While it was a bit of a mess at the time, a port of the game on Nintendo Switch Online could patch up these minor issues, and potentially even include the online multiplayer the N64 version lacked.

The first in Nintendo’s flagship fighting series, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Smash Bros. was an unexpected cro𝄹ssover hit. Seeing Mario, Pikachu, Link, and other Nintendo mascots duking it out was unexpected, but it was well-received and exposed playe🤪rs to many lesser-known Nintendo franchises.
The original Smash contains a classic mode, four-player Smash, a cast of twelve characters (it's hard to believe Smash Ultimate now has the largest rosteᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚr in fighting game h🦩istory), and the lꦗong-forgꦇotten break-the-targets and board the platform mini-games. Though the gameplay certainly doesn’t feel as quick and fluid as modern-day Smash entries, being able to play online with up to four friends would be an excellent way to spice up any game night.

Though 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mario Kart 64 was the most popular kart racer on the console, there was another - arguably better - racing title available. Diddy Kong Racing is brimming with personality, charm, and strong racing mechanics𒁃. Unlike most games of its genre, Diddy Kong Racing features a hub world, a story mode, and an intimidating antagonist named Wizpig.
Players are able to uꦏse a variety of vehicles in their🐻 races such as the standard car, motorboats, ski buggies, and airplanes which makes racing feel varied and exciting. It even features the debut of both Banjo and Conker, who had yet to be featured in their own games.
