There is a very slim chance of him appearing in the game, dependent on a hidden value that a player is assigned at the start of the game being 66. As this value can🔴 range from 1-100, this is pretty dang rare.
If their value is 66, there is a small chance that a grey door will appear in a new room in Waterfall. Entering said room will greet the player with the above - a ghostly black and white figure with no collision. Interacting with Gaster will cause him to disappear, and that'll be that. There's nothing else. Throughout the game, there are clues♔ to his identity, but nothing official has been put out by Toby Fox, making fans all thღe more curious.
1 Make Undyne More Diffi𝓀cult
If the player is feeling particularly masochistic, they might make use of this secret. During the incredibly intense fight with Undyne, the player can choose to 'challenge' her in th✅e 'act' menu. This has the fun effect of making the attacks she sends hurtling toward you even faster, and this stacks three times.
Considering Undyne is one of the most terrifying bosses in the game (and the most difficul𒉰t boss at that point), this secret could definitely be shown off for bragging rights.
