A game is made by its memorable villain. If they're boring or annoying, it can quickly make an experience insufferable since you're constantly facing off against them. Some of the best games out there have a villain 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:much more meಞmorable than eve꧂n the main character. Some, like Wario, eve🌄n get their own spinoff gꩵames.
Some villains, however, while meant to be intimidating or a major foil, can be hilarious. Whether it's some humor that hits wrong, or just the overall situation, some of these bad guys are memorable not because of the things they did, but the funny memories they left behind.
8 ಞ Dracula (Castlevania: Symphony of the Night)
The voice acting in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Castlevania Symphony of the Night could have been better. But this was the PS1 era when game developers were still trying to figure out production values (check out the FMV videos of the time). When Dracula, however, said “What is a man?” in a poorly recorded take in what we can only assume was a phone booth, all pretence of fear and intimidation wa𒊎s lost.
This line by Dracula has become💖 a༺n internet meme, and while Symphony of the Night is an all-time classic, Dracula could use a little work.
7 M Bison (Street Figh𒀰ter)
Don't get us wrong, we do love the campy nature of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Street Fighter. The bright graphics tend to feel a lot more fun to look at than Mortal Kombat. However, when you need a powerful dictator bad guy in your game, M. Bison may not be the guy. Standing just 5'10", he isn't a particularly threatening presence in the early SF games. M. Bison came across like some silly narcissist trying to play military dress up.
M. Bison also keeps getting beat by other characters in the Street Fighter series, and coming back weaker than what he once was when he inhibits a new body (because that's what he does). Heck, even the 1994 Street Fighter movie with acting legend Raul Julia makes M. Bison come across as a hammy, mustache-twirling, dim-witted villain.
6 Sha꧋o Khan (Mortal𓄧 Kombat)
Considering this is supposed to be the main bad guy in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mortal Kombat series as the ruler of Outworld, he doesn’t quite fit the bill. Next to a four-armed dragon, like Goro, and a zombie ninja, like Scorpion, Khan looks like a guy that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:went to Spirit Halloween for his costume.
You would think that an all-powerful tyrant that oversees an entire realm would be above entering a﷽ martial arts tournament like the Karate Kid, but here he is. The Mortal Kombat movies also make him the equiva🎐lent of a Power Rangers villain.
5 Bubble M𒐪an (Mega Man) 𓆏
We know that Mega Man isn’t some dark gritty vision of the future (or is it?), but at least most of the robots Mega Man faces 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:are somewhat menacing. But… Bubbles, man. Mega ♒Man 2’s Bubble Man doesn’t exactly instill fear in generations of gamers.
Was Pillow Man unavailable? Much like every boss in that gꦛame, his weakness is the Metal Blade weapon because that is certainly more threatening than bubbles. Did Dr. Willy make him as a joke?
4 ✅ Dr. Breen (From Ha😼lf Life 2)
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Half Life 2 is a masterpiece in writing. Valve outdid itself in depicting a horrific and oppressive future after the Black Mesa disaster. Whoever made Dr. Wallace Breen the main bad guy in the game knew how to nail the portrayal of a sniveling administrator who fails upwards. Some have even gone so far as to say 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Breen made the right move in negotiatin🔥g p⛦eace. But come on, Breen ran the Black♏ Mesa facility into the ground and made it an OSHA nightmare. That nightmare then opened up an interdimensional portal.
Breen negotiates a peace deal with the Combine, which essentially turns Earth into one large oppressive state. During Half Life 2, Breen appears to talk a big game, but is obviously afraid of Freeman returning from stasis. ♔He gets chuckles al💟one for being the worst boss in video game history.
3 🐲Granga’s Mech (Star Fox 64) 🧸
In the Star Fox universe, Granga is one of Andross’s most trusted lieu🐻tenants and a complete buffoon. Star Fox 64 is one of the best rail shooters even made, and when you first see this gigantic bipedal robot on screen, you think this might be a big battle at the end of the games’s first stage.
He spends most of 🌃th﷽e battle peppering Star Fox with taunts, calling him a worm and an annoying little fly. Anyone skilled at Star Fox can take down this guy in such a short time. Granga can go from “I’m going to crush you!” to “My emperor! I’ve failed you!” in the blink of an eye.
2 🌳 Lady Dimitrescu (Resident Evil)
Lady Dimitrescu was supposed to be a terrifying countess in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil Village. When Lady D made an appearance in the game’s trailer, it caused theജ internet to go nuts about this 9’6&r⛎dquo; ghoul that had a certain kind of appeal.
What could have truly become an iconic Resident Evil villain that would be remembered for years from now, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:turned into a meme overnight. Many fans reaction to her reveal got very weird, v🌳ery fast, and once you finally play the game, it🃏’s kind of hard to separate the two.
1 Bowser (Super Mario) 𒁏
It’s hard to take Bowser seriously after his appearance in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Mario World. Sure he 💃is a big bad dinosaur that hits like a truck and even drives a kart, but you can’t be a video game villain and show up in a floating clown ship. The other video game villains tend to point and laugh.
Mistakes were made in the 1990s, and along with frosted tips and chain wallets, clown airship was a rough phase fo༺r Bowser. His other big mistake was fighting Mario on a bridge over lava in tꦐhe original Super Mario Bros.
