It overhauled combat, introduced Ancient Egypt as a setting instead of renaissance-era locations, and it didn't come with multiplayer. With how negatively received Unity and Syndicate were, Ubisoft wanted to 🅺make the core foundation of the series solid before incorporating radical modes again.
