Alongside the trailer, Marvelous announced that the game will be localized in the west by Xseed and Marvelous Europe— was♏ the first to report Xseed’s confirmation that they’ll be releasing the 💞remake as Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town.
Fans who’ve been following the development of the remake will notice that there’s a slight 🎐leap between the original title Bokujou Monogatari: Reunion in Mineral Town and the NA localization known as Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town. The original game's subtitle of “Reunion in Mineral Town” seems so perfect for the remake, considering that it’s combining the storylines o💙f the two GBA titles as well as revisiting Mineral Town for the first time in fourteen years. However, consider🐟ing that Natsume still has the rights to the name Harvest Moon, Xseed Games is probably recycling the original su😼btitle to signal the remake to fans, which is probably a smart idea considering the mass confusion that ensued after the initial name change to the series.
It’s still unknown at this point whether Natsume will raise legal issues about the remake— though, with any luck, they’ll leave it be.
