Summary
- Uwe Boll is crowdfunding $2.5 million to make a Postal 2 movie as a "rebellion" against woke culture.
- So far, it's only made $800, and Running With Scissors isn't even involved.
- But if Boll can't make a Postal movie with your money, don't worry! You'll get a... California Fried Movie.
In 2007, Uwe Boll and developer Running With Scissors partnered for a movie adaptation of the original '97 Postal game. Like every other Boll movie, it was panned by critics almost unanimously, with only a meager nine percent enjoying it. But to put into perspective the quality of Boll's portfolio, the conensus is that it's one of his "more successful films".

Even Uwe Boll ꧃Is Roasting The Borderlands Movie
When even one of the mos🏅t notorious video game adaptation creators is laughing at you, you know you've goofed up.
So it makes sense that 17 years later, he's trying to get a sequel off the ground. Over the weekend, Boll and producer Gary Otto, who he co-hosts a podcast with, launched an to raise $2.5 million for a new Postal movie they aim to release in time for the Toronto International Film Festival in 2026, followed by a wide release at the end of that year. The only problem is that Running With Scissors isn't involved whatsoever.
"The official position of RWS is we DO NOT support this fundraising effort," founder Vince Desiderio said. "I have no f𝄹—n idea who Gary Otto, the project owner is. No one has contacted us about this e𝐆ffort".
It Might Not Even Be A Postal Movie, Depending On How Much They Raise
Underneath the near empty funds bar is the "Flexible Goal" caveat. What this means is that if Boll and Otto don't make enough money in their alloted 30 day window, they don't have to refund any of it. Instead, they will repurpose the film into "California Fried Movie" (based on German Fried Movie, which was inspired by Kentucky Fried Movie).
So far, they have raised൲ just $835 with 16 b🌞ackers.
"Uwe Boll is going to match whatever is raised towards the film," the Indie Gogo description reads. "Even if we don't hit our goal, the movie would still get made: just minus the Postal IP (it's not free folks) and we do not want to make a cheap looking film. With a 'meta' film as Uwe Boll has envisioned Postal 2, our goal to hit would ideally be 2.5 to 3 million dollars or more so we can make that money really stretch".
This is a big reason why Running With Scissors aren't happy about the campaign—Desiderio said that it's a "major concern", even though he likes Uwe Boll and would like to see a new Postal movie. "This kind of funding that can be pulled to make some other movie and all these things being done without our consent, that's not gonna cut it," Running with Scissors tweeted. "This is not about creative control for the movie itself, this is all about making sure the fans get what they pay for."
Uwe Boll Wants To Make Postal 2 To Combat "Woke And Cancel Culture"
As for why Uwe Boll wants to return to Postal after all these years, it's not because it's lauded as one of his best movies in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a catalogue hated by fans an🅠d critics alike. Instead, it's because "comedy flat-out died" after the first one released in 2007, apparently.
"The political correctness, algorythm bullst—t, woke and cancel culture destroyed all potentially funny content. To do Postal 2 is almost a duty for the freedom of art, speech, and our lives moving forward in general. This campaign represents a rebellion against t🎃he big players who want to brainwash us - who try to conform us into happy, agreeable sheep passively in-step with their s—y politics."
Hey, at least he's not threatening to box us this time?
