Becoming a vampire lord in V Rising isn't easy. The denizens of Vardoran will stop at nothing to bring you down, even fellow vampires. And if that wasn't enough, getting a mere glimpse of the sun's rays will cause your skin to combust.
Fortunately, there are quite a few ways you can gear up and empower your character in V Rising. From dealing with the sun to traversing the map, we'll provide ten tips that will help you survive the harsh land of Vardoran and become the ultimate vampire.
This list is in no particular order.
10 ෴ ཧ Sunlight Kills
Being a vampire comes with one major downside: dealing with sunlight. Standing in the sun for a fꩵew seconds will cause your vampire to buꦆrst into flames, taking an immense amount of damage each second. If caught unprepared, the sun will easily kill you.
While daytime is much shorter than nighttime in V Rising, there's still a dynamic day and night cycle in play. You might be in the middle of a Blood Hunt when the sun rises, substantially increasing the difficulty of that encounter. In general, you'll want to build during the day and hunt during the night. Stick to t𓆉he shadoඣws whenever the sun is up to avoid taking damage.
9 Bu⛎ild Mist Braziers 🗹
Managing your castle during the day is a death sentence if you aren't careful. Until you can make reinforced castle walls, you'll be stuck with no roof for the first few hours of your playthrough. That's where Mist Braziers come in. This craftable item will emit a 3x3 shroud around itself to block any direct sunlight, allowing you to build and manage your castle in peace. Use any spare Bones you find to power them, and remember to turn them off during th♋e night to save on resources.
8 💯 Carefully Consider Your Starting Base
V Rising's tutorial highly encourages you to create a base as soon as possible. You'll want to carve a part of the map for yourself, but don't make a base near the tutorial cemetery. V Rising highly encourages you to explore and move further up the map as you progress. If you plant your base near the bottom of the map, you'll be making many long treks to your castle.
It's possible to destroy your castle and move elsewhere, but this takes a considerable amount of work. Consider your starting castle location carefully.
7 Get A H🌟orse ASAP ꦅ
Horses are much faster than your character in V Rising. Much of this game involves hunting down enemies far away from your base, s🅰omething you can streamline slightly by traversing the map more quickly. The southeast entrance to Dunley Farmlands has a small farm with two horses at a stable. You can steal one of these horses to make it your mount permanently. Just remember to give your horses water to prevent them from dying.
6 Create Multiple Crafting Stations 🌞
Many of V Rising's most valuable materials need to be crafted. Sawmills, Grinders, Smelters, and more are needed to create better items. But these items don't convert materials immediately; it takes time.
Build duplicates of the same crafting station type to speed up the refinement and crafting process. For example, you'll need hundreds of Planks and Stone Bricks to upgrade your castle. Making each Plank and Brick takes a few seconds, but this adds up quickly. If you divvy up the work between multiple stations, you can get the same result in a drastically shorter time. Multitask while your stations are active, and this crafting aspect of V Rising will become much more manageable.
5 Use Vampirꦿe Storage
There's a unique chest in V Rising called Vampire Storage. This single chest has the same capacity as a standard chest, except this variant cannot be looted by enemy players. If you're in a PvP server and need a place to store your most valuable goods, put them in your Vampire Storage. It'll save you if your castle ever gets attacked.
4 🌞 Use Your Vampire Powers𝓡
By holding the Left Control key, you can open up a wheel of auxiliary vampire powers that aren't on your hotbar. By far the most important one is Blood Mend, an ability that consumes blood from your blood gauge to restore HP. This is your only method of recovering HP that has been grayed out—something that occurs when you take too much damage in combat.
You'll unlock additional vampire powers as you drink V Blood in this game. Some powers allow you to transform your vampire into different forms, while others let you charm humans to do your bidding. If nothing else, remember to use your Blood Mend ability whenever you're on the verge of death.
3 💮 Craft Consumables 𝐆
Enemies in V Rising are relentless and hit like a truck. Poor positioning and reaction time can get you killed in later blood hunts. Because of this, you'll always want some form of healing handy in your hotbar. Salves and potions are your main healing consumables, accessed in your inventory crafting menu and alchemy lab, reܫspectively.
You'll want to make consumables in general once you get an alchemy station up and running, for some of these consumables grant massive buffs. Increased damage, resistance to the sun, and other strong boons are all tied to some of V Rising's consumable potions and items.
2 Don't Neglect Servants
Partway through V Rising's progression system, you'll unlock the ability to enthrall humanoid NPCs to act as servants in your castle. They don't seem particularly useful at first glance, yet these servants can kickstart resource farms, hunt enemies for you, and much more.
Each castle has access to nine servants at a time. And since each clan can have up to four castles, your group can have 36 Servants at once. You can use them as fodder in combat, turrets for kill farms inside your base, or even drink their blood to have a constant supply of rare blood types. Servants significantly streamline V Rising's mid to late game grinds and should not be ignored.
1 Keep An Eye Out Foಞr Thes🤡e Materials
It's easy to accidentally discard a valuable resource in a survival game such as this, especially with how many resource types are present in V Rising. To help prevent headaches later in your playthrough, here are a few resources you should keep your eyes peeled for:
- 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Whetstones – Drops in most bandit camps.
- Unsullied Hearts – Drops from V Blood enemies and periodically from major foes.
- Books – Books are found in chests and periodically from slain enemies. Use them to unlock new crafting recipes.
- Quartz – Destroy quartz crystals in Dunley Farmlands and beyond.
- Fish Oil – Earned by fishing or destroy crates.
