Nightmarshal Styx The Sunderer is one such foe, and has been around since the time of Dracula himself. His many years have not dulled his skills, and he presents a tough challenge for you in your quest to rule Vardoran.

Nightmarshal Styx The Sunderer's Location

V Rising Nightmarshal Styx The Sunderer Map Location

Nightmarshal Styx The Sunderer is the last roaming boss you will have to track down. He slowly patrols around the Eastern roads of the Cursed Forest region, an꧙d will engage enemies found on his travels. He has no other mobs with him, but is strong enough to beat anything he encounters, except, hopefully,🐽 for you.

The Cursed Forest Waygate will take you into the region, but you will probably have to make a decent journey to reach Styx. By this point in the game, you should be nearing maximum gea✤r strength, so the enemies that lie in wait on the road should not prove much of a problem for you, and you can always 😼elect to run past them to save time.

Due to the Nightmarshal being a roaming boss, using your Castle's Blood Altar to pinpoint his exact location is recommended

Battle Strategy

V Rising Nightmarshal Styx The Sunderer Boss Fight

Nightmarshal Styx The Sunderer is one of the most difficult enemies in V Rising, and is the last non Soul Shard boss you will f𒅌ace. He has nasty melee and ranged attacks at his disposal, and his basic sword attacks will hit hard.

  • Styx will frequently summon red Bat Swarms to aid him. These will charge towards you from off-screen, moving extremely quickly and leaving a damage over-time effect to anything hit. They are difficult to dodge, so try to use your Travel Ability to move far away from Styx when you see the first swarm begin to move towards you.
  • In a similar fashion to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Morian The Stormwing Matriarch's Whirlwind Blades, Styx will spin, before throwing out numerous spinning Sanguine Swords. Again, they move very quickly and are hard to fully dodge. They emerge in a spiral pattern, so if you can move behind the projectile arc, you will be relatively safe. Styx will begin to use this ability at roughly 75 percent health.
  • Upon reaching half health, Styx will disappear, and summon three Withered Vampire enemies. They have a decent amount of health and will run around melee attacking you. These must be killed as quickly as possible, or Styx will continue to spawn them. Strong AoE burst abilities like Mirror Strike are excellent for dealing with these, and they should be your top priority, as you cannot really afford to have other things to focus on, other than Styx's abilities.
  • The Nightmarshal enjoys regularly teleporting behind you, before dashing and executing a sword slice. Once you see him turn into a cloud of bats, run to the side, and you should be fine in dodging this frontal.
  • Styx will unleash his Ultimate ability upon falling to around 20 percent health. Your screen will turn dark red, and he will take reduced damage from all sources. Similarly to his regular ability, Bat Swarms will fly towards you, but this time there will be a great many of them. It is best to just run away during this phase, as any damage you do will have reduced effectiveness, and it can be very hard to stay safe.

The fight is tough, and your set-up will largely depend on how comfortable you are with dodging the Blades and Bat Swarms. Ward of the Damned and Sanguine Coil are a good defensive combo, whereas Chaos Volley will help with shortening the fight timer.

Mirror Strike is the best Ultimate choice, as long as you save it for the intermission, but Crimson Beam can be taken if you a💜re struggling with stay🐭ing alive.

A Sanguine Reaper or Sword is your best weapon choice, although the Crossbow can be considered if you prefer staying at range. Bloodmoon armour is your go to, and Scholar Blood will be very useful for extra healing.

Your playstyle can either be ranged focused or a mixture of melee and kiting. Styx will have openings where you can lay down the hurt in melee, but you need to be careful to not get caught by multiple Sanguine Swords or his Bat Swarms. Remain patient and fight a battle of attrition to claim 🌞your reward.

Nightmarshal Styx The Sunderer's Rewards

V Rising Nightmarshal Styx The Sunderer Blood Altar

Nightmarshal Styx will reward you with one of the best abilities in the entire game.

His Bat Form Vampire Power will allow you to cross impassable terrain, and soar high above any enemies that might look to confront you. It has quite a long cast time, so it isn't something that can be used in combat to make a quick getaway. It does have some limitations, in that you are not allowed to be carrying any resources when trying to transform, and you will need a proper landing spot to morph back into💎ꦍ your Vampire form.

You also fly so high up in the air that you cannot see anything on the ground. Mainly used so that you cannot gank other players, it can make it difficult to scout certain areas, and you will also not be able to cast the spell indoors, so, sadly, there will be no flying around your own Castle.

Despite these drawbacks, Bat Form is the best ability to quickly travel around the map, and you will save lots of time by correctly utilising this throughout your adventures. Watch out for the daytime, however, as you will not be able to shelter in any shade. While not an in-combat tool, Bat Form is so useful t🦂hat Nightmarshal Styx should be considered a mandatory kill.
