From the health-raising Ambrosia and magic-teaching Divine Art Scrolls to the Verdant Blossoms that must be united in order for players to ⛦unlock the final ending. Or true ending. Or best ending. Or whatever you want to call it.
There are far fewer Verdant Blossoms than Hollow Blossoms, but while that's a relief in one sense, it makes finding them all that much more imperative. Miss even one before the endgame, and you've effectively wasted your time. Don't let that happen — read on!
The First Verdant Blossom: Chapter Three
The first Verdant Blossom in the game serves as more of a tutorial on them than anything. It's directly in your path near the beginning of Chapter Three, near the save/exit point and at the peak of a short stone bridge. Once the Valkyrie has picked it up, a strange, hazy message will appear at the bottom of the scꦦ🦹reen.
It seems that, unlike Hollow Blossoms, you won't get to know what's been said immediately. This is a matter of translation, and you won't have the chance to translate until much later.
The Second Verdant Blossom: Chapter Three
The other third-chapter Verdant Blossom becomes available at the point in which Armand is ushering the Valkyrie to let him guide her. En route to Armand's location, refrain from traversing the final passage and instead ascend the stairs first. It's a bit dusty in here, so if you're having trouble seeing the staircase, search the right side (from your perspective heading in) of this large area.
Upstairs, your second Verdant Blossom is located in one of the rooms. Do check out the other room while you're up here for a separate treasure.
The Third Verdant Blossom: Chapter Four
Per the spot on this map, you'll need to head toward the ruins of a large building partly surrounded by railing, which is located toward the start and not terribly far from where you spawn. Move through the building, emerging near some more railing that overlooks the sea.
The Fourth Verdant Blossom: Chapter Four
From the bridge lined with potted plants, head up the staircase. For the swiftest path to the Verdant Blossom, select the left-side staircase. After reaching the top, take an immediate left. You'll descend a couple of stairs. Follow the center of this side room, and you'll find the Blossom at its end.
The Fifth Verdant Blossom: Chapter Five
This one's fairly easy; it's hard to lose your way when your goal is to reach a part of the map that's so narrow and obvious. You'll be passing through a path with some snow, as well as what little remains of various stone walls, to your left and right.
The Divine Art Hail Shot 2 is available for the plundering on one side of the intersection at the end of the path. Hang a left for it. Afterward, cross the right side, tilt left as the path turns with you, and grab the Verdant Blossom that's waiting for you.
The Sixth Verdant Blossom: Chapter Six
Now for a twist: you won't be able to obtain the sixth Verdant Blossom without the Bell Tower Key. The good news is, you won't need to travel far. There's a bridge in disrepair (then again, how many bridges aren't in disrepair in Valkyrie Elysium) quite close to the bell tower housing your Verdant Blossom.
Hop over t💞he hole in the bridge and take a right. At the end of a picketed little path is your prize.
The Seventh Verdant Blossom: Chapter Seven
Some collectibles in Valkyrie Elysium sort of tease the player. Treasures like the Verdant Blossoms do appear on your map, but only when you're on the same level. If you're above or beneath them, which happens frequently given the vertical nature of most of the game's regions, they'll flicker out until further notice.
Such is the case with the seventh Verdant Blossom, deceptively simple — from the save/exit point inside the castle that leads up a lengthy staircase, leap off the nearby ledge, and you'll reach the second floor, which is inaccessible otherwise. Follow the softly zigzagging path between debris, and you'll come upon a lever near a locked door. There are no tricks to this door, so yank t🅘he lever and grab the Blossom within.
The Eighth Verdant Blossom: Chapter Eight
The water near your starting location isn't exactly pretty, but poisonous. Even so, you can get past this green lake to the west of you by searching for spots to grapple between. There are a few, and you'll need to be conscious of your camera at times, swiveling about as needed until you can see the next one. You won't be stunned to know that your eighth Verdant Blossom's on the far end.
The Final Verdant Blossom: Chapter Nine
Last but most assuredly not least — it's mandatory in order to make sense of the other Verdant Blossoms and unravel the plot's late-game twist — you will only see this ninth Blossom if you have collected the previous eight. Recall that you can replay any chapter if needed, so you'll never be locked out entirely should you need to return to an earlier area and grab a straggler or two.
Honestly, don't worry overmuch about locating this last one. The final Verdant Blossom is about as obvious as the first; the game is rewarding diligent players, after all, and it wouldn't do to place it off the main path as such. Besides, this whole zone's rather straightforward.
