The Citadel of Flame is one of the Hard mode-exclusive dungeons in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth♔. From the name alone you can conjure an image of the place - filled with fire, lava, and ꦛenemies who want nothing more than to burn you alive.
Featuring some of the trickiest platforming puzzles in the game, this dungeon is worthy of the Hard mode exclusivity. Luckily, it has some really fantastic rewards for completing it, so it's worth completing.
Citadel Of Flame Overview
As you might expect this dungeon is filled to the brim with fiery enemies who are weak to ice. A sorcerer with Icicle Edge will work wonders, as will any ice-elemental weapons. Icicle Swords are the best, and you shouওld be able to transmutate one or two by now.

If you still have the Ether Scepter from the Tower of Lezard Valeth (or another incredibly powerful Staff), you can simplify a great deal of the fights in this dungeon by casting Icicle Edge on every enemy at the start of a fight. Equip your sorcerer with a Magic Bangle to improve results.
The First Orb
The first screen of the dungeon will introduce you very quickly to a very annoying feature - fireballs. You'll have to move to the right gradually, trying to avoid as many fireballs as possible. It's very difficult to get the timing right, and you'll likely get struck a ton of times, so make sure you have lots of Elixirs before heading into 𝓰🌼the dungeon - each hit shaves off a bit of your DME.
The chest on the platform in the middle has an Eye of Heaven inside. Considering how a✃nnoying the fireballs are, you might want to just skip trying to acquire it. Move alongܫ to the next screen, slide dashing underneath the hanging ramp.
The next screen has some enemies and then a platform being bombarded with fireballs on the right. It is functionally impossible to walk through these fireballs without an immense amount of frustration, and the alternative method to get to the other side involves a finicky jump that requires you to create a large crystal near the pit underneath the platform. This is likely to make you fall into the pit either way - take our advice and just drop down the gap, but beware of the floating enemies🅰 that are just underneath.
On the lower screen, head all the way to the right to find a chest obscured by some flames. It's a freezing gas trap, so remain crouched when you open it. Inside is a Soul Slayer, a bow that instantly kills those pesky spirits.
On the opposite end of the room, interact with the machine underneath the floating orb and activate it. With that done, climb up the ladder in the middle of the room to get back to the previous screen.
The Second Orb
Pick up the Shadow Servant book here if you didn't grab it earlier. You can either use a crystal explosion to get back over the gap to the left, but it's much easier to just hop up to the fireball platform and take a negligible amount of damage. Take the exit to the rear to the left - it's a new platform hanging by chains from the ceiling.
This is a very large room, with much of the floor filled with lava that hurts you quite a bit if you fall into it. Before attempting the platforming challenge, drop down the ladder to the floor and open the chest to the left to find an Estoc.
To get over the gaps, stand at the very edge of the platform you're on, turn to the opposite direction you wish to travel, and then fire three crystals directly into the ground. You'll be launched backward, in the direction of your choosing. Use this method to get over the gaps and open the chests on the way to get a Dark Savior spell book, some Ghoul Powder, and a Stone Torch spell book. The final chest is trapped with freezing gas.
Your sword swing is long enough to start fights w♓ith the floating skull enemies from thꦫe platforms - use this to avoid getting caught by them mid-jump.
Take the path to the rear at the end. In this next room, you'll have to get past the second gap by first falling down them while shooting a crystal at the wall, and then climbing back up and using that crystal as a platform to get over the slippery ramp. Drop down the third gap to find a chest containing a Flame Jewel.
On the ground floor, there's a Ranseur in the chest on the left.
To progress, drop down the first gap - you'll see the rear exit on the platform just to the upper left. To get here, fire a crystal at the slanted section of the floor across from you, then destroy it with a third crystal - it will create a small, temporary platform made up of shining stars. Jump onto that, and then quickly get onto the solid ground. It may take a few times thanks to the small area you're working with and the finicky controls, but you'll get there.
Press on to the rear, and then go to the left, and down the ladders until you reach a large room filled with purple spirit monsters. Drop down to the bottom of the screen, go all the way to the left, and start using crystals in the wall to climb up to the top, where you'll find another machine with an orb. Activate it.
Catching Fire
With the second machine activated, head back to the entrance of this screen by climbing the ladder on the right side of the room and using crystals to get up to the platforms above. There's a new exit to the rear on the large platform to the ཧleft🍌 that you summoned with the orb - take it.
You'll be in an office - save your game and restock if you need to, and then take the exit to the rear, which can be found to the left of the office.
On this screen, you'll find a small vase to the left, a plate underneath the wall in the middle, and a room filled with fireballs once you step on the plate on the right. The puzzle in this room is quite devious. First, you need to pick up the vase and then throw it to the right so that it lands on the other side of the wall. To do this, throw the pot from the top of the stairs - the image above depicts the perfect place to stand. If you don't throw it far enough, you will not be able to pick it up again as it'll hit the ceiling - leave and return to reset the puzzle.
Once you're on the other side of the wall, pick up the vase. You need to use this to catch fireballs - be careful not to get hit by too many of them, as once you've caught enough fireballs, the boss fight of the dungeon will start. Heal up before (and during, if you get hit too many times) completing the fireball🍸 puzzle!
How To Beat The Fire Elemental
This Fire Elemental is far different from the ones you've faced before. It's larger, meaner, and doesn't even use fire attacks all the time! This one can use Frigid Damsel in addition to the usual fire attacks.

As a souped-up version of the Fire Elementals you've been fighting, you should know what you're in for - lots of unblockable, high-damage moves. Thankfully, apart from a huge damage output, the Fire Elemental doesn't have any gimmicks.
To that end, the normal strategy for this battle is simply to win the damage race. A sorcerer with Heal will be incredibly useful for countering Flame Banner's huge damage, and you should have some Banishes on hand to deal with any freezes you get.
Equipment that protects against fire damage will be incredible in this fight. Cloaks, Anointed Cloaks, Feathered Tiaras, and Extreme Guards are all great and accessible. Stun Checks, which can be bought cheaply t🦋hrough the Divine It𝔍em menu, are also great and can be equipped by anyone.
If you have an Icicle Sword (which can be transmutated from a Book of Everlasting Life or a Holy Relic with the Creation Jewel), you c🧸an one-shot this boss. It instantly kills any enemies weak to ice.

This dungeon has three decent artifacts as a reward for the annoying fireballs.
