Of all the Agents in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:VALORANT, Cypher has some of the best potential for high-level play thanks to the information that can be gleaned from the use the Spycam, Tripwire, and Cyber Cage. However, playing Cypher effectively requires a disproportionate ꧅mastery of map 🐎knowledge to succeed. Staying up to date on how maps change throughout the beta is key, but the reward is masterful plays with this Agent.

As VALORANT is still in beta, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Riot Games is constantly working to ensure the g𒀰ame is 𒅌working as intended by design, and this means patching out Spycam exploits on each map as they appear. As a result, each patch often brings map changes, some meant to help overall gameplay, but many with Cypher and his Spycam in mind. These and future patches should be observed closely to ensure the best Cypher play and counterplay. This guide will focus on patch 0.5, with the goal of thinking long-term about how best to use Cypher and his toolkit.

Split

  • Above Mail Room – On both attack or defense, this spot is useful to see what might lie ahead. Is a defender waiting there, or alternatively, is there a push coming?
  • Above B Site – Placing the Spycam nice and high above B provides a broad, sweeping view of the entire area, and is one of the best ways to see if the opponents are committing to pushing this spot.
  • B Main – Great on attack, but less so on defense since it is easily destroyed.
  • Back of B Site – Placing the Spycam on the plant behind the fence reveals all of B Main, but feels like the kind of placement that will be removed in the future.

  • Top of Mid – Holding Mid is no easy task, but if trying to do so, this is a great spot to place a Spycam, especially on top of the railing to get the most forward-leaning perspective.
  • A Tower – Hopping on the boxes to place the camera in the upper corner provides sight over the entire room and is not immediately obvious to players who may not have checked their mini-map for the Spycam location.
  • Above A Screens #1 – We will mention this as one of the best places to place a camera, but we expect this to be patched out. Placing the Spycam here is not an exploit, but it provides such an abundance of information that it feels like a prime candidate for a nerf in the future. From here, Cypher can see spawn, screens, A Tower, A Main, and more. For now, this is a prime location to learn, but do not be surprised if in the future it is changed or removed due to simply being too efficient.
  • Ticket Booth – Properly placed, Cypher can shoot the dart out of the middle window.
  • A Lobby – Either near the rafters or the trees provides a broad range of view.

Bind

  • Outside B Site – Seeing the opponent spawn and potential planting site make this a worthwhile site to learn.
  • B Long – This is another option for seeing B site but is more exposed.
  • Hookah – This remains a staple for Cypher players but is commonly known and an easy spot for opponents. With the nerf to Spycam respawn usage upped to 45 seconds, this is not as useful as before.

  • A Short – Near the rugs remains a solid spot to place the Spycam, however, Riot Games seems to dislike the area for this use. We have already seen this changed in a recent patch, partly as an exploit, partly for being too difficult to quickly and easily note where the Spycam is located.

Haven

  • A Link – This is another spot that should be learnt by all players because of how powerful the information can be. Placing the Spycam on the panel over the roof pictured below provides information that is borderline game-breaking, and this might be changed soon as well.

  • A Tower – This is a great spot to experiment with, but like Bind: A Short, should see a change in the future. Placing the Spycam outside of the window near the decorative, upwards pointing rocks provides a high viewpoint, but too much cover for opponents to quickly identify.
  • A Short – This is a good alternative that lets you see opponents moving from A Long and A Short, and is not likely to be changed in the future.
  • A Long Lightbulb – Great for seeing A Tower, and also for newer players since it is not an intuitive location for opponents to easily spot.
  • Attacker Spawn – Obviously seeing who is leaving spawn and when is great information.
  • Above B Site – This is an excellent Spycam location for controlling B Site, and a staple for defense.

  • Above C Short, C Site Long, C Site C Short – Any of these can provide good value, but Cypher is not one to hold the location. Experiment with which works best, as this will be used sparingly.

Using Each Spot Effectively

Placing a camera at the above locatio🐲ns is not enough to make a difference on its own. The best Cypher players will be up to date on their map knowledge with each new patch, will experiment to learn which locations suit them best, and above 🤪all else, will use their mics to communicate effectively. A good Cypher can make games feel as though one were cheating thanks to the information made available, and this is something every player should learn to do, even if not planning to play the agent exclusively.
